Obama frightens Chuck Norris

"...during an age in which religious revisionism is already on the rise. "

What does that even mean?

i have heard that hard hits on the head kills braincells.
I sounds like his movies wasnt stunt fights, but real ones.

I don't think Obama REALLY scares Chuck.
It's what Mr Limbaugh and Mr Beck say about Obama that scares Chuck.

They scare me too.

Every paragraph starts with "you scare me", it's nice to see finally big Republican men not being afraid to show their feelings, and get in touch with their feminine side.

:D

He's a loony.

Maybe one too many roundhouse kicks to the head?

You scare me because, as we've all watched over your first 100 days in office, you can get away with all these things mentioned above, and the mainstream media and most of the public will continue to hail you as king.

So far, this thread seems to be rather solidly bearing out this particular point.

Rather than actually attempting to address any of the substance of the points raised by Mr. Norris, or quoted by him from Mr. Pritchett. Instead, the immediate reaction is gratuitous insults against them for daring to criticize President Obama.

Rebuttals? Rebuttals to what? The poor little guy is scared of his president because he disagrees with his political views.

Should we shed a tear? He's a grown man for crying out loud.

ETA: Sometimes we don't get the head of state we wanted. It's called democracy. Suck it up, Chuck.

It's right there in front of you.
None of those seem to be hailing Obama as a king. Are you seeing something in those quotes that I am not?

Norris' piece certainly achieved a much higher level of truth and intelligence than these rebuttals.
uh.... 'kay.

Is it the same kind of truth and intelligence where comments actually say something different than what you said they did?

No, it's not because he dared to criticize President Obama. It's because Norris is one of the most phenomenally ignorant/delusional buffoons on the public stage -- a walking, talking self-parody.

Well, let's address some of Mr. Pritchett's/Mr. Norris's points;
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
After nearly two years of campaigning, an autobiography, and many other sources, if they truly know nothing about him, that's their own fault. Take the time to find out.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
Not surprising that they do not know this informaiton, since they haven't taken the time to learn anything about Obama in the first place. (And, honestly, this scares them?)

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America, and culturally you are not an American.
"Formative years" constituting ages six through ten. Basically, the first half of grade school. He spent the last half of grade school, middle school, high school, college, and grad school in the US. (1) How does that equate to "formative years" and (2) how is he culturally not an American?

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
Valid, but not necessary to be President. It's not even necessary to be a good President.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
Irrelevant. The military is supposed to have a civilian Commander-in-Chief.

You scare me because you lack humility and "class," always blaming others.
No evidence is provided and this is too vague to respond to.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
False. Obama has denounced both Wright and Ayers' controversial actions and/or statements. (I assume that is who they are referring to)

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the "blame America" crowd and deliver this message abroad.
No evidence is provided and this is too vague to respond to.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
Again, rather vague. Some examples would be useful.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
This is a valid concern, I suppose, if a tad over simplified.

You scare me because you prefer "wind mills" to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
Assuming "wind mills" is a euphemism for renewable energy sources, Norris, et al., is an idiot for not wanting to do so.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
This is the "socialist" conspiracy theory, is it? Does this really need to be addressed seriously?

You scare me because you have begun to use "extortion" tactics against certain banks and corporations.
"Extortion" as in "being accountable"?

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
"Wild and irresponsible" are debatable. If the Democrats were really shrinking away from it, how'd the stimulus get passed?

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
This cannot be serious. The only way this makes sense is if you define "intelligent people" as "right-wing nut jobs like Norris".

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
Norris, et al, should apply for the Million Dollar Challenge if they can read minds like that.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
No evidence is provided and this is too vague to respond to. What has the media given Obama a free pass on?

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
No evidence is provided. When has Obama demonized and tried to silence these entertainers?

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
No evidence is provided and this is too vague to respond to.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
Paranoia is a sad thing. What is it based on?

That's just Pritchett's letter, but it is pretty much void of substantive points. I'll let someone else deal with Norris's half of the article.

On second thought, Bob, maybe it would just be faster if you could point out which points you think are substantive.

I always knew Chuck Norris was a cowardly fool, but he's a bigger pussy than I thought. And this guy is hailed as some sort of example of a tough man, even spawning those "Chuck Norris facts" (that all worked so much better as "Jack Bauer facts" anyway)? Lawl.
