Obama bribed Reverend Wright to shut up

Really? You're going to use that link?

Edward Klein, author of the new book "The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House," told Sean Hannity Monday that Jeremiah Wright, the controversial former pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ, “made it comfortable” for Barack Obama to accept Christianity without having to renounce his “Islamic background,” the Daily Caller reported Monday.

You trust this nonsense?...^

He's right, WildCat. You are trying make a distinction between a misquote and a fabricated quote where there is no difference.
The quote wasn't fabricated, he did in fact say it. Just not to Klein.

Misquoted and taken entirely out of context, WildCat. It would be no different from me quoting the following from you: "The quote was fabricated, he didn t say it."

The quote wasn't fabricated, he did in fact say it.

My quote isn't "fabricated", by your definition, but neither does it honestly reflect what was said. And, in fact, his "source" for the quote has denied it.

I hope they bribe him into shutting up this time around too.
We could crowdfund it.

Apparently Klein is lying about his claim to have interviewed Palestinian activist Ali Abunimah for his book. (Ali, as a Chicago-area activist, knew Obama casually early in his career.)

Klein was on Hannity tonight and played excerpts of his 3-hour taped conversation with Rev.Wright.
Impossible, the interview was fabricated and besides it was Hannity so it's obviously faked. And I bet he kidnapped Wright and has him locked in a dungeon somewhere, which explains why Wright hasn't denied it.

WildCat, have you gotten on the #1 Hyde Park bus to go visit Reverend Wright and ask him whether this is an accurate story?
Wright doesn't live in Hyde Park, he lives in a million dollar mansion in the southwest suburbs. Tinley Park or Orland Park, one of those 2 I can't remember which.

At any rate, shouldn't it be the deniers who contact Wright?

Why is "interviewed" in scare quotes?

Presumably to indicate that Klein specifically used the word "interviewed," rather than "spoke briefly to:"

Ali Abunimah said:
I spoke briefly to Edward Klein on the phone to tell him I had nothing to say, and everything I had to say on Obama was published.

...

What I told Klein was that I'd published several articles on Obama and he could refer to those and I declined to be interviewed.

...

If Edward Klein is not lying, let him produce notes or recording from an interview with me, other than the brief phone call I mentioned.

I'm sure there's something more nefarious at work, though. Maybe it was Abunimah himself who offered Wright the bribe!

Ah, so it wasn't technically an interview according to him.
