I think the best reaction to this is from our old friends at the Post and Email.

Sharon Rondeau writes a bunch of scattershot crap about how Obama's father being born in Kenya means how Obama isn't eligible to be president, and how the "long form" he released doesn't have a raised seal.

But the good part is down at the end, where she quotes Miki Booth. It seems the Gods of Irony are working overtime here, since the attending doctor listed on Obama's certificate, Dr. David Sinclair, was the same OB/GYN who delivered Miki's own son! The doctor who delivered Obama also delivered the child of a hardcore birther! I love it!

Hysterically, Miki uses this tidbit of information to "prove" that the certificate Obama just released is a forgery, since Dr. Sinclair passed away in 2003.

No, I have no idea what she's talking about either.
 
After a lengthy discourse about the history of birth registration, types of certifications, who maintains records etc., the Wikipedia entry for "birth certificate" has this paragraph (emphasis mine):

Most hospitals in the U.S. issue a souvenir birth certificate which typically includes the footprints of the newborn. However, these birth certificates are not legally accepted as proof of age or citizenship, and are frequently rejected by the Bureau of Consular Affairs during passport applications. Many Americans believe the souvenir records to be their official birth certificates, when in reality they hold little legal value.[25]

The Inspector General report states that according to staff at the Immigration and Naturalization Service’s Forensics Document Laboratory the number of legitimate birth certificate versions in use exceeded 14,000. I wonder if a big part of this continuing "birther" business is that a lot of people, particularly ones who have never applied for a passport, don't know the difference between an official document and a souvenir paper handed to their Mom in the hospital, or just think that all birth certificates are supposed to look exactly like their own.

The law in effect was Hawaii Revised Law §57-8, Hawaii Revised Law §57-9, and Hawaii Revised Law §57-18, enacted in 1955. It's the second citation in the left column of that link identified as "RL 1955, §57-8". And what I quoted shows you are completely wrong. The rules did not require an affadavit by the father and at least one other person present at the birth.

By the way, didn't you notice at the very bottom of what you linked that it was dated 1962, after Obama's supposed birth? In fact it is signed "I, Leo Bernstein, M.D., Director of Health, hereby certify that the foregoing regulations were adopted by the Department of Health on the 5th day of November 1962"? :rolleyes:

It's amazing the lengths to which you ObamaTruthers are now going to hide from the obvious. To hide Obama's past. Lies, lies and more lies.

You are a walking, talking stereotype. If you were honest, you would have just come right out in the beginning and say that you wouldn't accept ANYTHING as proof of Obama's citizenship because this is about race and left it at that.

Sorry for the late response; I'm having internet issues.

I would say, Obama would need to go to jail. His major co-conspirators would need to go to jail. All of them should be barred for running for public office ever again. The Justice Department should bring a civil suit against Obama and his accomplices.

I guess Biden would take over, but I would be willing to listen to arguments why McCain should take office.
