“We're not, not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that's fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money.”

—Comrade Barak Obama—

So, where is this point where one has made enough money? Comrade Obama and his wife made over five million last year. Is that enough? That's more than twenty times the $250,000 point he was using to define “The Rich” who should be forced to have over increasing amounts of their rightfully-earned wealth to the government.

Wow...EVIL!

Oh wait...there could be context to that quote that isn't easily available in the way you have quoted it. Nevertheless is Obama proposing a cap on income? If not than what the hell is the point of this thread other than to do to the term Communism in regards to President Obama what left wingers did to the term Fascism in regards to President Bush

Who is the government?

Bob, what's your source for that quote?

I for one welcome the Glorious Revolution occurring for my southern neighbours, and look forward to seeing bountiful harvests and a paradise of socialist equality as the revolution bears fruit!

Onward comrades!

Found this, which cuts off suspiciously close to the end of that particular statement.

I suspect it was a joke and the laughter was intentionally clipped off.

Don't be silly, Upchurch.

There's no possibility Obama made a glib, off-the-cuff remark.

This was obviously a sinister, and inexplicably public, confession of his darkest desire to destroy America.

Saw on Fox. Actually, just sounds like the decreasing marginal utility thingy from Econ 101.

"...but you know, part of the American way is that you can just keep on making it if you're providing a good product, you're providing a good service. We don't want people to stop..er... fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow the economy; I've said this before. I said this on Wall Street just last week; I believe in the power of the free market, I believe in a strong financial system."

He carries on emphasising the benefits of a good financial system and the dangers of an unregulated one.

He means for other people. Not himself. You have to understand how the political left works. And, if not money, power -- for him, not for you.

I am just joking.

Quote actually starts at 9:30 but context definitely changes the meaning of the portion Bob Blaylock cited.

I am not seeing the hypocrisy in a wealthy individual musing if at a certain point an individual has made enough money. Certainly he understands that most of his money is unnecessary for a very satisfying life style. Hypocrisy would be if his proposals provided very narrow loop holes for him to take advantage of that other wealthy individuals cannot. Obama's administration has been a strong proponent of lowering federal income taxes for most Americans while suggesting allowing the current tax breaks for the upper income levels to expire. Is there some loop hole that allows the President to not be subject to these income tax expirations?
