A friend who is a volunteer for the Obama Campaign informs me that "Don't Get Lazy and Lose It In The Ninth" is the constant message that the campaign is drumming into it's workers.

If more Germans. as well as Americans, British, French, etc had actually read Hitler's Mein Kampf back in 1925, and believed he meant what Hess wrote down, the world could have been spared an awful lot of misery.

Unless his workers plan on stuffing the ballet boxes, that message isn't going to make a difference with Democrat voters who are predisposed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Since I am not a McCain supporter, I have no problem accepting the reality of an Obama Presidency. As an American citizen, it is my interest that he does well. But with Pelosi and Reed in the wings, I am somewhat skeptical of how he will deal with their influences.

You are evading the issue. The issue is not whether it was relevant to read Hitler's opinions and what he intended to do once in power; the issue is that you take his opinion of Social Democracy as gospel. I repeat my question:

I tend to take what people say about politics seriously. I'm not going to expand on what I think right now of him, I might breach the MA.

There's a slight problem with your plan; whites with a "guilty complex" are already going to vote for Obama. In fact if you're paranoid, and not taking your Clonazepam correctly, you might say they are his core constituency. I should know, I'm one of them. Now I need to get back to flagellating myself because I have long dead relatives that used the N-word a lot.......wait, I don't do that at all. You almost tricked me into taking Clonazepam and flogging myself!

You should take it seriously if a redneck fantasizes about how "Social Democrats" are related to Hitler, without any touch whatsoever to reality or the thread topic. But it's wise to think on the disordered reasoning behind this obvious crap.

I'm more concerned that these loonies intended to massacre students at a Tenessee school. The shooting of 88 and intended decapitation of 14 people is truly revolting...

As a parent I worry how to protect my children from such loonies. :(

Our newspaper show a photo of one of the accused boys touting a sniper rifle on this MySpace page. How could he have obtained such a weapon ? Surely the US gun laws are not that liberal that a kid could purchase this kind of assault weapon ?

This reminds me again why I am pro gun control. For me Obama's views on gun control are too moderate but at least he supports the following principles :

- Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.
- Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms.
- Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.

I find this comment strange. The remarkable thing about 911 is that the US did let someone "push them around" and was completely unable to defend itself.

Then it reverted to its usual habit of beating up the innocent under false pretences.

Of course you should also take seriously if Oliver the Rabble Rouser tries to associate Neo Nazis with Republicans. The fact that A.H. modelled his NSDAP after the Social Democrats is recorded fact. I can understand why contemporary Germans may find this to be unsettling, but they have learned to deal with even more troubling issues from their past.
