Agreed. Anyone halfway intelligent and serious about pulling off an assisination would try to blend in and keep a low profile..which these kooks did not do.
Althought these morons seem incapable of sucessfully pulling off holding up a AM/PM or 7/11, let alone a high level assisination.

Yeah dudalb but these guys have a different idea of a sucessful hold up than you do. Walk in and shoot the bejeezus out of anyone inside. Then get arrested two days later when you are spending money that is still blood spattered.
Of course they would probably park at the pump in clear view of the camera as well.
But in jail they would still be bragging about how the 'Shor dun showed that thar clerk, n got me neerly eighty fie dollars too!'

Unfortunately I think your right, the next attempt will be more sophisticated, and unfortunately I believe there will be more attempts on his life than any other President before him. Let's just hope that they are all foiled.

Well, I'm a European ... How good is the secret service in protecting
a president all the time nowadays? - JFK and RR didn't do well under
their watch... :(
 
Sadly, this may effect Obama's chances. I can see many voters feeling awkward about voting for a man who is consistently looking over their shoulder (Yes, all Presidents do, but this is different).

I noticed a few minutes ago in the other thread you've used the word "blind" to describe Republicans.

They are very good, but not perfect. They will take a bullet for the President. JFK rode in an open car, which in hindsight wasn't very smart, and Reagan did survive.
 
On the contrary, I think many Americans may see the seriousness of this moment, and see voting for Obama as a sign of strength and perseverance. I know I will.

No, I didn't had Nazis in my mind - even if they were "blindfolded"
as well - putting their worldview above the facts.

However: Blindfolded means: Ignore the unnecessary war, ignore
the economic crisis, ignore the necessary domestic changes, ignore
the approval ratings of the current President, ignore the needed
change in general.

There are some Republicans in here who do exactly that - while
fading all of my points aside out of reasons that are hard to grasp
by any measure.

And they used to vote for the Democrats (Consider Frederick Douglass's till-death membership of the Republican party).

So why did you support a Republican who is the exact opposite of Barack Obama, who would utterly decimate the US economy with his Libertarianism if elected, and who would be dead in his grave before he taxed those making about 250K?

Not really. But if you ask me if Nazis were on the right or left wing of the
political spectrum, I would say that they were on the right side of the
spectrum - which is a historical fact, I didn't make that up.
