That's not about offering jobs to people to clear the field in a primary. That's about bribing people to vote a certain way.

Wrong. The language of that law is very clear. Its concerns "the support of or opposition to any candidate or any political party in connection with any general or special election to any political office, or in connection with any primary election or political convention or caucus held to select candidates for any political office. It's not just about bribing people to vote a certain way. You are being disingenious and dishonest. Clear enough?

Man, sounds like this guy was a bad idea. If only someone had tried to persuade him not to run. I'm sure they would have found him some other job or something.
 
Even if the allegations were entirely true this still wouldn't constitute bribery or election interference. That's been explained many times.
