NYCCAN & "Vote For Answers New Hampshire"

NYCCAN'T have sent out an email on their mailing list celebrating the "success" of 2009 and listing their plans for 2010. Their big news is this:

NYC CAN has teamed up with the Monadnock 9/11 Truth Alliance and other New Hampshire advocates to launch Vote For Answers New Hampshire.

Because only 25 signatures are required for the insertion of an article on New Hampshire town ballots, Vote For Answers New Hampshire has set an ambitious goal of placing its article on 40 town ballots across the state at local elections this spring. The article reads:


Shall New Hampshire's Congressional Delegation be instructed to pursue a new and independent investigation to address thoroughly all of the evidence and unanswered questions related to the events of September 11, 2001? (The record of the vote on this article shall be transmitted by the Town of ________ to New Hampshire's Congressional Delegation.)


Already, petitioning efforts are underway in 21 towns, and several Town Halls have confirmed the wording is appropriate to be placed on their ballot.

The campaign has been publicly endorsed by the Former Mayor of Keene Michael E.J. Blastos, as well as by a bipartisan lineup of current and former State Representatives including Peter Allen, Peter Espiefs, Betty B. Hall, Paul Harrington, Barbara Hull Richardson and Charles Weed. All seven local New Hampshire leaders have signed their names to the following statement to be printed in the Keene Sentinel and other local newspapers next week:


“As current and former public servants, it is our duty to raise our voice with those from across the country and around the world to call attention to the omissions and falsehoods in the official account of the events of September 11, 2001. The good people of New Hampshire are asked to sacrifice ever more in the War on Terrorism and yet there has been no true investigation into the events of September 11th for which this war is being fought. So long as our policies continue to be based on those tragic events, it will never be too late for honest answers to reasonable questions that to this day go unanswered. In defense of our nation and in defense of freedom itself, we must get to the bottom of what happened.”

There's nothing about this at either the NYCCAN website, or at Monadnock 9/11 Truth Alliance. A typically well-coordinated effort by NYCCAN'T.

I'll leave you all to comment on the brilliance of reattempting a ballot initiative, and in New Hampshire.

Somehow I think NYCCAN's definition of "reasonable questions" in going to conflict with what the delegation thinks.

Of course, the question "Shall New Hampshire's Congressional Delegation be instructed to pursue a new and independent investigation to address thoroughly all of the evidence and unanswered questions related to the events of September 11, 2001?" is so softly worded, the only people who will likely associate it with 9/11 CTs are ourselves, and the truthers.

But of course, everyone who votes in favour will be held up as believing the "inside jobby-job" theory.

I'd don't see how they get "independent" when they're petitioning the government to do the study. This is such a transparent "out" for when they don't like the results.

oh my GAWD, that's in my backyard. In fact the nearest town of any size is Keene. There is a prof at Keene state that has his buddies (including that idiot former mayor) have their own weekly radio show about 9-11. Keene state college has meetings and a prof teaches the students all about the conspiracy theory. Students in class that google a tad or mention "Popular Mechanics" are failed. Why the college puts up with this I do not know but people are upset about it.

Our library is filled with 9-11 truther dvds and books ( I slip in little notes with science sites listed). I heard on their radio show that a "subversive person, probably a government agent" was putting notes in their materials! (no I do not work for the government, if I was really a government agent I'd have stolen the books or reshelved them in the big print section or arts and crafts... or fiction).

These are older white guys that have a hobby that they call a "cause". I cancelled my subscription to the Keene Sentinal as each anniversary of 9-11 they take out a full page ad full of their crap. They even contact 9-11 families and send them information about how the government killed their family member. Honestly, that's sick. How much more pain must these people go through?

They send me CRAP dvds in the mail, since the Keene Sentinal published my letter to the editor. They figured out my husband is in the reserves (which makes us a "suspected part of the conspiracy"). In other words I am on their "sh11t list". They like to call it thier list of "suspected agents".

They are bored bored bored bored bored. It's too bad they can't do something GOOD with their spare time and spare money.

What will happen with this? Nothing. They will easily get enough signatures.

At times I wish there were government agents that would take them out... sigh...

Oh, and have they abandoned their previous pretence of seeking an "independent commission" (comprised solely of tinhatters being paid $100k+ per year for part time work, without any citizenship requirements, and without any professional qualifications or expertise in any relevant field), and without a $10 million per year budget (for which they laughably - and clearly dishonestly - pretended to have funding in place), and all of that?

I used to live in Peterborough, and Dublin. I am glad I left in 2000, before it really got bat **** crazy up there. Miss the state, not much it's citizens.
