Of course we do. The author approved of the deregulation and tax cuts that have been enacted. Those are exclusively conservative/right-wing/Republican agendas.

We need to be worried about what it says about the POTUS (which, if I remember your posts correctly, isn't news to you)

We also need to worry that they are unaccountable.

However on the subject of the Op Ed, being anonymous, but probably fairly easy to identify is a good way of further distracting Trump from doing anything worse.

Kind of, yeah. As has been pointed out, it's not the thing that was prevented that is the problem; it's the means employed.

It probably wouldn't be much of an issue with a stable and competent President, but with someone like Trump, it's possible for someone to pull this crap with policies that might actually be beneficial to the country.

But the point is that he enjoys railing against people, blaming them for the admiration that he doesn't get and imagining that he would have got that admiration if his orders had been carried out. At the same time, of course, he also enjoys taking credit for whatever can somehow be thought of as a success even he had absolutely nothing to do with it.
He's beyond incompetent. Incompetent is just somebody who isn't very good at whatever is that person's job.

Perhaps the means employed ought be tailored to the ends envisioned.

For example, if POTUS decides to launch an unprovoked nuclear first strike, the means used to thwart him should be even more dramatic than stealing memos.

Once Obama got the sate of Hawaii to release his signed, "long form" birth certificate, which is far beyond what any other president has done, Trump proceeded to claim that he couldn't have possibly had the grades to get entered into Harvard.

He then claimed that Obama received "terrible" grades in Harvard, even though Obama graduated with honors. He then claimed that a white guy must have written "Dreams from my father", Obama's first book, because in his view, Obama's second book was "terrible".

This requires us to believe that Dolt 45 has read two books, which I do not think is true.

Dolt 45 ran for president, and was elected, in part because of the moral and ethical rot of the GOP, but also in part because of plain white supremacism. A sheer unwillingness to even consider the idea that a black person could be capable to be president.

Dolt 45 is the embodiment of white supremacist pushback against successful black people.

If you're still repping the president now, I think it's safe to assume that you are a white supremacist, unless prove otherwise. You want white women to stay in the kitchen, and for nonwhite people to be exiled or killed. But why are you trying to pretend otherwise?

You are right about the way that he treated/treats Obama, but it goes beyond that. Look at the way he talks about pasty white 'Crooked Hillary'!
I think that both Hillary Clinton and Obama are people that he fears because he feels inferior to them. They are part of the power elite, recognized, and he isn't and never will be.
In his narcissism, he is well aware of the points he scores with white supremacists when he disparages Obama, but he actually fears him and his skills, for instance as an orator.

Where is your evidence that Trump ever gives a moment's thought to anything regarding white supremacists aside from denouncing them? Where is the evidence that Trump "fears" Obama and Crooked Hillary? This is all a bunch of hot air, supported by nothing.

For someone who lies so frequently, Trump is a pretty bad liar. On many occasions he projects his failings onto the person he attacks.

Attacking Clinton's health. Attacking Obama's academic record. It doesn't take long to realise that Obama is more able than Trump.

I hope that is not the reason! Scary if so. Humorous comments directed at one another and at oneself are expected from the speakers at the annual Whitehouse Corespondent's Association dinners: it has many elements of a celebrity roast. I bet we all have all been in similar situations with friends and family involving exchanges of similar teasing "put-downs" of one another. "Teasing" rather than "insults." Obama's self-depreciating jokes at these occasions outnumber those he has directed against others many fold. And the recipients of these comments have generally appeared to recognize the spirit of the occasion - amused and returning the "favor" at some point using similar humor. And/or just laughing it off like normal human beings. Unless of course they have such fragile egos and are sufficiently emotionally unbalanced that they receive any comment that is less than obsequious with unhinged, undying hatred. Even to the point of allowing that personal hatred to influence how they structure their domestic and foreign policy.
