Nostradamus Centuries X

Nostradamus predicted precisely squat, or to be more accurate, the looneys who like Nostradamus and 'interpret' his limericks cant predict a thing.

I could probably make a prediction or two about Kiliks future on this board, however...

...snip...

That's a bit harsh they can predict many things from his writings, just only after they happened though :D

Yawn. He just copied and pasted this from Portal of Evil, which banned him for link spamming.

The bears of Angelmois do it in the woods
Centuries may come and go,
But some will always believe,
For a sucker is born every minute.

This thread doesn't have enough wombats.

Oh, so you speak French?

Indeed, checking primary sources is usually a good idea. Notice that some of Kilik's quatrains have a verse or two missing. The translation of the meaningless 'Angolmois' to 'Mongol' is also very handy when you want to make things up, the word 'Mongol' not existing in Nostradamus' days.
Mind you, Penn & Teller could also have checked their sources, it would have avoided them the embarrasment of quoting fictive quatrains...

Edited for grammar.

not really shoehorning, it's pretty explicit I really don't understand shoehorning, please explain

It seems you needed a little help with articulating what you really meant, Kilik.

... bloat...yadayadayda...more bloat...
What in the world are you blathering on about? If you are going to post links and quote dufi (plural of dufus?) then at least tell us what point it is you are trying to make.

Maybe, if you really think there is something to Nostradamus, you could give us a precise and testable prediction based there upon. I doubt very much you will, but it would at least give us something to discuss.

No, I don't speak mideival french, probably not many do. I have a basic knowledge of french though I can't speak it very wel or fluently. However, I go by the commonly accepted translations in their most pure form. Sometimes I take a line out once in a while, because I feel it might simply distract from the more important lines in the context of this thread, but I link to the original writings in translated format so you can easily check them.

So basically, then, your entire bit about needing to take into account the multi-faceted messages, deep meanings, and specific words, is pretty much bullflop.

No, it is definitely in-depth writing meant to expand your thinking. It is multifaceted, and meant to be understood in an expansive way, with profound far reaching implications and meanings

Some things in the first post are still to come...
