Split Thread 'Nose-out' footage

If I put myself in you debunker's shoes and see what a piss poor job you have made of disproving bard''s 'slug of fuel' argument I am just amazed that you can get satisfaction out of just plain obfuscation and denial. If it was me I would recognise where I was wrong and accept it.It's almost as if it is a job to you guys rather than a matter of coming up with the better argument. Like 'If all else fails just keep denying' This is standard behaviour throughout the jref 9/11 conspiracy forums.

Bill;
How has he "proved" his arguement. Want to bet I can show you have no clue?

I would settle for him actually attempting to prove his point. So far, not so much. His argument so far is the typical, "I don't think this is right".:boggled:

(*Snort*) Prove? I don't think he's even stated his point coherently, not yet at least. He's pulling the same stunt Heiwa does with Bazant: Bardamu's obsessing over how a model designed to isolate and demonstrate a concept is somehow at odds with reality. That's not the behavior of an honest critic; that's the modus operandi of an agenda driven person seeking to distort a narrative rather than clarify it.

All he's trying to do is somehow shove this "everything you all know about 9/11 is wrong" opinion down everyone's throat, and he's shown zero interest in even seeing what's correct and proven about the event. That shows he's not interested in the truth at all; he's only interested in creating a giant pissing match. The only reason I "reply" to him at all is to juxtapose reality to his fantasy for any new folks lurking in these threads. Bardamu won't benefit from any of our answers, so there's no use replying to him. Responses can only help other people reading who might come along at some point later, so that's who I really care about reaching. He is hopeless.

Dodge much? The upper post makes it clear that you are using the word "slug" as something measured in feet and not as a physcal unit stated in pounds. Mackey would be using slug in it's correct way.

You? Not so much.

How would you calculate the mass and momentum of a slug that has no measurable dimensions?

No, you gave up because you have no way to refute what I say. Tell me how the "fuel slug" supposedly is such a fatal issue that it negates all the video that's been shot, all the witness testimony that's been given, all the radar data that exists, all the cell and airphone calls that were made by the passengers. Tell me what it's supposed to signify. And tell me how the narrative it points at is better supported than the one that already exists.

It's that simple. And you can't do it. If you could, you would've done so by now.

If I debunked the witness testimony, you'd say there's still the "fuel slug" proof. Let's take them one at a time. If it's not such a fatal issue, tell me why R Mackey would go to all the trouble of constructing a mathematical model to prove that the fuel alone could destroy the columns, then invite the truth movement to debunk his work.

If a plane didn't hit the building...what made the hole? The fuel explosion happened a second later...so how was the hole made without any explosions?

Standard red herring.

We've just witnessed a shift of goalposts of epic proportions:

How about a big freaking derail? Isn't this thread about the nose-out footage?

Or are you going to cause yet another thread split?

How many does that make?

Getting a bit off-topic now. Please return to the topic in the OP. Thanks.

I thought you meant a second later than the plane not hitting the building for a minute.

Bill:
What made the holes? Were explosives planted on the OUTSIDE of the building.

Keep digging your hole, Bill.

Bill; the secrete to holes is ,once your in one stop digging (I don't remember who said it first), and your in over your head

Maybe somebody should start a general no-planes thread. There are so many spinoffs that it's hard to stay narrowly focussed on a single aspect..

So you can't answer the question that's so pivotal to your belief? Why are you in such denial of facts?

Remember, the "readers" are watching you.

Why not start that thread and keep Tricky happy ? Can I suggest a title. ' Was there video fakery/no planes at the WTC on 9/11 ? '

Oy...

Ryan went to the trouble of constructing a model in order to get you all to think, not merely quotemine reports or blindly parrot the word of conspiracy peddlers. And it was partially successful in doing this, because it got you to post this statement in the Hardfire: Physics of 9/11 thread:
The fact that the momentum is calculated based on the average width of a wing that tapers is already a problem, since for any fuel outboard of half way, the momentum will be less than estimated. If the height of the fuel tank is also based on an average of the whole wing, the same problem is made worse. If the volume of fuel is based on a full tank, the problem is even worse, because the tank was far from full. Finally, if there was no fuel at all in the outboard tank, then no columns could have been broken by fuel alone outboard of rib 18, which is about half way along the wing.

Good! You're finally thinking! Now, think all the way to the conclusion: To what degree does the information you provided refine the model? Is the momentum changed in a way that changes the conclusion i.e. results in such lessened momentum that the columns survive? You said "the momentum will be less than estimated". Fine. How much less?

When you plug your "refinements" into the model, how much does it change the momentum? I don't have an immediate answer for that since I'm not sitting down and recreating the impulse calculations for the dimensions you provide, but consider this: Those slides you refer to set parameters for what speed and pressures it takes for columns to fail. You only need to be moving the mass of fuel at around 185 MPH to fail the external columns, and above 430 MPH to fail core ones. Flight 11 was estimated to be moving around 443 MPH (plus or minus 30; source - NCSTAR 1-2B, chapter 11), and UA175 was estimated to be around 542 +/- 24 MPH. You unquestionably have enough speed in the case of UA175, and very likely have enough in AA11's case to fail core columns, and you have an overabundance of speed available to fail perimeter ones. Now, look at the pressure/impulse curves in NCSTAR 1-2, fig. 10-4. Look where complete failure can occur, and look where even moderate damage occurs. If I'm reading that correctly (people, correct me if I'm wrong), an impulse of around 5.5 psi/s is sufficient for this. 10 psi/s is unquestionably sufficient. In Ryan's simplification, you're getting 90 to 100 psi/s. Are the differences you're setting out sufficient to reduce that impulse to the point where failure doesn't occur?

Tell me what the impulse is given your modified dimensions of the slug. You obviously are arguing that the slug cannot have damaged the columns in Ryan's simplification (which closely tracks NISTs, and BTW, you need to read that part of NCSTAR 1-2 to see the full argument), but you need to show this, not just claim it. Does the difference you set out change the impulse enough to lower the model's 90-some to 100-some psi/s to below the 5.5 psi/s threshold?

Ryan, Dave Rogers, Newton's Bit, anyone else: If you see a problem with the way I laid the above out, please feel free to correct it. I'm doing this seat-of-my-pants.
