I read this. Can't vouch for the source

McCain campaign releases statement from a man whose home was firebombed by the Weather Underground
Below is a press release by the McCain campaign with a statement by John M. Murtagh and Obama's relationship with William Ayers:

"When I was 9 years-old the Weather Underground, the terrorist group founded by Barack Obama's friend William Ayers, firebombed my house. Barack Obama has dismissed concerns about his relationship with Ayers by noting that he was only a child when Ayers was planting bombs at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol. But Ayers has never apologized for his crimes, he has reveled in them, expressing regret only for the fact that he didn't do more.

"While Barack Obama once downplayed his relationship with Ayers, today his campaign took that deceit one step further. Barack Obama now denies he was even aware of his friend's violent past when, in 1995, Ayers hosted a party launching Obama's political career. Given Ayers' celebrity status among the left, it's difficult to believe. The question remains: what did Obama know, and when did he know it? When did Obama learn the truth about his friend? Barack Obama helped Ayers promote his book in 1997, served on charitable boards with him through 2002, and regularly exchanged emails and phone calls with him through 2005. At what point did Barack Obama discover that his friend was an unrepentant terrorist? And if he is so repulsed by the acts of terror committed by William Ayers, why did the relationship continue? Any honest accounting by Barack Obama will necessarily cast further doubt on his judgment and his fitness to serve as commander in chief.

"Barack Obama may have been a child when William Ayers was plotting attacks against U.S. targets -- but I was one of those targets. Barack Obama's friend tried to kill my family."

In February 1970 John Murtagh's father was a New York State Supreme Court justice presiding over the trial of the so-called "Panther 21," members of the Black Panther Party indicted in a plot to bomb New York landmarks and department stores. Early on the morning of February 21, three gasoline-filled firebombs exploded at their home on the northern tip of Manhattan, two at the front door and the third tucked neatly under the gas tank of the family car. The same night, bombs were thrown at a police car in Manhattan and two military recruiting stations in Brooklyn. A few weeks after the attack, the New York contingent of the Weathermen blew themselves up making more bombs in a Greenwich Village townhouse. In late November that year, a letter to the Associated Press signed by Bernardine Dohrn, Ayers's wife, promised more bombings.

I love how Ayers is referred to as Obama's "friend".

In case you haven't already seen it, here's an entertaining clip that concerns peoples' opinions about Obama and Ayers.

I am sure the Obama people have been digging plenty about Palin's ties to the Alaskan Indpendence Party to be unleashed at the right time.
McCain is getting desperate.

Aside from the likelihood of this blowing up in his face in an negative attack ad slug out, I believe after hearing two supporters shout kill him! and he's a terrorist! at rallies McCain understood this could have even more dire consequences if real violence were to result. I'm not compelled to believe he would withdraw from this line of attack out of any sense of decency though.

Obama has two or three skeletons in his closet, perhaps Biden has a few as well, but McCain and Palin have a whole buffet of them for the Obama campaign to choose from if McCain wants to have a war.

Like this skeleton? Again, source unconfirmed, but the story is attributed to Pete Yost
WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican Sen. John McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. chapter of an international group linked to ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America in the 1980s.

The U.S. Council for World Freedom also aided rebels trying to overthrow the leftist government of Nicaragua. That landed the group in the middle of the Iran-Contra affair and in legal trouble with the Internal Revenue Service, which revoked the charitable organization's tax exemption.

The council created by retired Army Maj. Gen. John Singlaub was the U.S. chapter of the World Anti-Communist League, an international organization linked to former Nazi collaborators and ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America. After setting up the U.S. council, Singlaub served as the international league's chairman.

McCain's tie to Singlaub's council is undergoing renewed scrutiny after his presidential campaign criticized Barack Obama for his link to William Ayers, a former radical who engaged in violent acts 40 years ago. Over the weekend, Democratic operative Paul Begala said on ABC's "This Week" that this "guilt by association" tactic could backfire on the McCain campaign by renewing discussion of McCain's service on the board of the U.S. Council for World Freedom, "an ultraconservative right-wing group."

Who knew Colmes had it in him?

Yeah. Excellent follow up by him.

Sidebar: Did you notice the fun non-verbals? Gibbs whips out his attack sheet (w/the quotes from the anti-semite) and reads each quote aloud to Hannity. Things get heated and Gibbs waves the sheet in front of Hannity, offering it to him, for reasons I can't understand.

Then Hannity accepts the sheet, holding it. Not sure why. LOL Then Hannity waves the sheet in Gibbs' face as he blathers on about Obama's alleged terrorist connections.

Hannity was Pwned on his own show, (to continue the sidebar) Colmes was obviously taken back...

Hannity, what a tool. By the way, is he dying his greys?

I am sorry I missed that, since I never watch Hannity, one of ther reasons being that it sickens me to see Colmes used as a punching bag who never fights back.

Interesting! Until now, this was the only Weather Underground that I knew of.

I think that you can only define a person so much by the actions of their friends. A friend is ultimately his own person with his own liabilities, and will do whatever he wants to do, with or without approval.

Victory is Ours, Comrades

Just as Karl Rowe has been called "Bush's Brain", our greatest national hero, Bill Ayres is a major influence in Obama's ideas and ideals. Since the 1960's when Ayres led the Weather Underground to try to overthrow the Republic of the United States and make it a Communist Utopia, he has been the greatest hero of humanity as well as the United States. It has been a long and hard battle he has fought. From being the ghost writer for "Dreams of My Father" to being a major guru of ethics for Obama, he has been effective in finding a way for our dreams of true social justice coming into reality.

Evidence for ANY of the above? None? Figured. Fine. Buh bye!

ETA: And shouldn't this pile of woo be in the Conspiracy Theory forums?

Since you provide no evidence, no support for any of your assertions, tell me Bill, are you lying, ignorant or just making **** up?

Tell me Bill, is this the best Republicans can do? Can't you articulate a message in support of your candidate? Aren't you able to argue how your candidate will improve life in the U.S.? Why not? Why do you choose (like McCain is by the way) instead to try and convince people not to vote for Obama? Are McCain's ideas so bad, you don't want to talk about them?
