NLP...Is it woo?

Nitpick:

the term is fractionation.

Ha, cought you! Only someone who wished to be a woo at somepoint in their life knows the woo nomenclature on this level. Admit it. You used to throw the woo.

What's the difference between NLP and KBT?

I looked up KBT. Kentucky for better transportation may be a noble goal however I miss the point (the story of my life: I miss the point and don't get the girl :( )

Oh lawds! Used the swedish acronym. I was refering to CBT. Sorry!

My experiences with DB are slightly disappointing. I was kind of involved in some filming he did a few years ago in Whitby. I was looking forward to an astounding and amazing afternoon of 'how did you do that?' tricks from the balding campmiester... What I got was a poorly executed trick using standard magic equipment (sorry can't give the game away but really really bog standard) and even then, he had to do it twice because he got it wrong the first time... Anyway, I waited a few months for the show to air and looked forward to the 'amateur magician's club trick' wondering if it would even make it on to the show or end up on the editing room floor...

...Of course, it looked great on TV, though an awful lot of it had ended up on the editing room floor and the televised trick didn't remotely resemble that which had been filmed. The mishandling of the gimmick had been completely removed etc. etc.

Having said all that and having a lot of other criticisms of DB, I am also of the opinion that he (or more accurately his original producers at 'Objective Productions') has done a lot for magic and found an original twist and presentation to some old and well used, well loved tricks and illusions.

As for NLP - I don't think I have ever seen DB do a trick that couldn't be done by a good magician who had no knowledge of NLP, so he may have learned about it, but does he use it? I doubt it. Is it woo? most probably.
