NH: Man burns himself alive to protest Fed "war on men"

Darwin's theory at work here.

If that is the kind of decision making the deceased used, I doubt the world will miss him.

Though I do see much bias in child custody, support, and divorce, now he is dead to no avail.

He said he slapped his then four-year-old daughter, giving her a cut on the lip, when she refused to obey him after three verbal warnings.

His wife then called the child’s mental health provider. Ball claimed the health provider told his wife that if she did not call the police, both she and Ball would be arrested.

So she called the police and Ball was arrested. After six months, the couple divorced.

“So my wife called the police on her husband to protect the children. And who was she protecting the kids from? Not her husband, the father of these children. She was protecting them from the State of New Hampshire,” wrote Ball.

“This country is run by idiots,” he added.

When Ball got to the court after his initial arrest, his charge was domestic abuse. He said being labeled a domestic abuser in America is “akin to labeling someone a Jew in Germany in the 1930’s.”

Linky.

I tried reading the letter, and I don't agree with the current system, but this guy was just trying to cast blame around to everyone but himself. He refused to obey the law even though he said was able to.

Toss in some choice political crazy:

And if the Tea Party is any indication, insurrection is brewing in the land. Just a coincident? Not likely. This is what happens when the government wipes out the middle class.

(Incidently, I have seen a lot of crazed-libertairians supporting this guy)

He seems to have a big problem with the law v. government worker guidelines (which he calls The Second Set of Books) distinction. The latter explain how to enact the former, but he sees them as subversive to the rule of law.

Here are some more words of wisdom:

There will be some casualties in this war. Some killed, some wounded, some captured. Some of them will be theirs. Some of the casualties will be ours.

Now, nobody wants to get killed. But let us look at your life. You are broke after paying child support. She and the kids are not doing any better. None of you are middle class any more. You have no say in the kids education, their health treatment, you may not even have visitation with your sons and daughters. And everything you thought you knew to be true-the rule of law, the sanctity of the of the family, the belief that government was there to nurture your brood-all turned out to be a lie. Face it boys, we are no longer fathers. We are just piggy banks.

So you are not losing anything by picking up the Molotov cocktail. It may be too late for us. But without something changing, your kids will have double the odds of it happening to them. That will knock them out of the middle class again, providing they ever get back in. And their kids, your grandchildren, will end up damaged goods before it is over. So it is okay to run. You just need to turn around and run at them. They are no way as imposing as they seem. They only do what they do for a paycheck.

He also has fun with calculations even he isn't sure of:

In the last 25 years they have arrested one in six adults in this country and forced 25% of the men, women and children into homelessness. In 50 years it will be one in three adults arrested and 50% of the men, women and children ending up homeless. Most of our kids will live to the age of 68 years old. As bad as it was for you, your children will have twice the odds of it happening to them.

I hope all child abusers set themselves on fire.

The video was too stupid, I only lasted about 30 seconds before I tuned out. But after reading the link, yeah, this is one of those instances of addition by subtraction, from the perspective of society at large.

Boo-hoo social services.
Boo-hoo paying child support.
Boo-hoo not allowed to hit children
Boo-hoo etc.

Burn, libertard cry-baby, burn.

the system failed this guy.

By "the system" I mean mental health services. He was clearly deeply mentally disturbed and needed a lot of treatment. I'm mightily sorry that he died rather than getting the help he needed.

So if you kill yourself protesting something - how are you going to know if your protests were heard and if you succeeded in changing something?

Seems counter-intuitive to me.

Curiously, the OP holds him up as a hero. Interesting....

It's a tragedy. And his survivors, especially his children, may need help coping.

I only hope the mother is smart enough to realize this.

The OP is a video, and it regards a man setting himself on fire. No name or story link was provided, and I'm NOT going to watch a man self-immolate.

I still think it's sad and tragic to die that way. That he was abusive doesn't change that fact for me.

As a survivor of childhood abuse, I wouldn't want to see any of my abusers set on fire. How barbaric. I'd want to see them kept from doing harm to more children, and if possible, helped in some way.

Not set on fire.

Yep, the kids will have to deal with this the rest of their lives. Which makes the attempt by the OP to turn him into a hero rather sick.

Well said.

What's the world coming to when a man can't even beat the snot out of his own children without some activist judge sanctioning him?

douche bag, and no need to further the tragedy by setting himself on fire.

I am sorry there was not an intervention to stop his taking of his life.
