New World Order

Are the NWO in competition with the Illuminati? I mean they are all lizard people, that much is obvious.

6. Martians

Though obviously I have only ever seen any evidence that the last three exist, but obviously their threat turned out to be exaggerated
:p
Martians exaggerated?
*monocle pops out*
Great Scott, man! We were only saved by the humblest things that God, in his wisdom, has put upon this earth.

Bacteria, not televesion evangelists and psychics.

When politicians speak of a New World Order, it just means that the order of things in the world has changed, and that's all.
You make it sound a bit more passive than it often is when some political machine gets its guy into the White House after years of discussions about how the world should be ordered.

George H. W. Bush, in particular, was clearly not talking about how things were, but a program to remake them a certain way.

The conspiracy theory paradigm is embraced by so many because it presents a simple way to understand the world: a monolithic struggle of the shining lights of goodness (the conspiracy theorists) versus and unstopped evil cabal hell-bent on world domination. The NWO - like the Bilderbergs, the Trialteral Commission, Freemasonry, the Vatican, the Jesuits, etc. have all filled that role of the great and terrible evil that the conspiracy theorist fights valiantly against by educating the sheeple.

I think the NWO is a particualrly attractive option for the "manaical evil organization" side of this equation because in reality it doesn't exist - that what makes it very easy to shape for the conspiracy theorist. The problem with using the Vatican, the Jews, the Bilderbergs, etc. as the unstoppable evil force is that these organizations exist and the imagination can only run so far.

But the NWO - being a fictional organization with no basis in reality - is the epitome of the shadowy cabal. It lurks from the shadows, emanates pure evil, and the conspiracy theorist can mold and shape it to fit the perfect type of evil that he or she wishes to fight against as the force of enlightenment.

Ultimately, fear is the coin of the realm for conspiracy theorists. It is what they live on - and it is central to the worldview. They keep themselves (and others) in a constant state of irrational fear. The NWO is the culmination of that fear.

"What is Communism?"
"A system by which one small group seeks to rule the world."

"Will I be able to do X, Y or Z under Communism?"
"No. The Communists will control X, Y and Z."

"What will happen to my insurance?"
"The Communists will take it over."
Seems pretty accurate, except they left out the part about killing tens of millions of people.

I read this thing once where this guy was claiming there's a Chinese gang even more powerful than the Illuminati - and that it is their mission to destroy the "New World Order," specifically its architects, the Rothschild [European] and Rockefeller [American] clans.

I believe he said they had ninjas strategically placed throughout the world, and that at a moment's notice they could get all ninja and take someone out if given the order.

Ninjas dude. Ninjas.

Why would the Chinese have ninjas? Have Japan and China secretly settled their differences?

LOL, yeah that was a good one...I believe the guy in question was Benjamin Fulford.

What are the reasons for the fear of a "New World Order"??

Basically, because most people who believe in a new world order, believe the people behind it are evil maniacs. Alot of the truth movement is made up of christians as well. They look around and see the decline of faith as an engineered thing, perpetrated by these satan worshipping mad men.

It's all about point of view; most anti NWO types are from the political left, new age/earth/hippy, christian right and nazi & communist movements. Put those all together you get a common enemy in the liberalism & globalization trend that's happening. In a nutshell, the world is changing and all these groups don't like it for their own reasons. The Conspiracy movement is an amalgam of all these fears.

Nazis = don't like multiculturalism
Christians = don't like sexual freedom, abortion etc.
Hippies = don't like Corporations
Communists/socialists = don't like capitalism/big business

All of them = don't like the modern world, so they think someone is out to get them and are purposefully changing it. Which they are to a degree, but that's what establishments do. a NWO is therefore anything you disagree with!

He said Japan is split: half are with the Chinese and the other half with the Euro/Americans. Apparently the ninjas can be anywhere with disguises ranging from cook to humble immigrant to Mr. Joshua.

<edit>
@ Red3

Yes! Benjamin freaking Fulford... hilarious

I'm not sure there's anything more terrifying than the thought of Gary Busey: ninja assassin.

He's a cousin of mine, embarrassing as that is.
Never met him, though.

I can't help but think that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion served as a template for many of these NWO/Illuminati/World Government type conspiracy theories.

They did, no doubt about it.
