truthacasualty dot com is a new web site fresh off the press. I am looking to make some kind of contribution to rational thinking. There is allot of bizarre ideas and claims out there and I didn’t want to make a site that just listed every one of them and said why it is that they are kooky and where they go wrong. Many sites do this, and do it well.:boxedin:

I wanted to do something different so that it occurred to me that if the focus is on the tools you need to counteract these ideas this might be a productive avenue.

Your ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.

I like where you've begun with the design of the website, my suggestion would be to organize the layout of the index page so that it's a little less confusing.

Art student here, so it's all about aesthetics for me. :p

Not necessarily, sometimes you just need to find a better way to do something that had been done many times before. It's a good thing Larry Page and Sergey Brin didn't ask you for advice. ;)

When you find a better way to do something you then do something that has not been done before. :)

I like it so far. The layout could be a bit confusing to some site visitors, but it's interesting nonetheless. I would also add some of the many other challenges out there under your challenges page, not just Randi's.

To harp on the layout: The problem is that some of the boxes and circles are links to subpages and more content. And at the same time a lot of them aren't. You can't distinguish the two unless you hover over them. But that's slightly annoying.
I'd suggest that you set those two categories of visuals better apart with more than just the shapes. Visitors need some more obvious cues.
The second thing is that an update to add more content requires you to redesign the whole graphic (Unless I missed the obvious.) That's a bit of a pain for maintainability.
Imagine you want to add just one small article and you have to fiddle around with whatever you used to do the initial picture. Seems like big overhead to me.
