Merged New telepathy test: which number did I write ?

I think that most people can probably understand when an answer is aggressive, and when it is friendly. This is, in my opinion, mostly an objective thing, something on which many people can agree. Of course, this does require some honesty, from you...
Michel, you are a complete idiot. Nobody thinks you have anything but Ramen noodles for brains. Har, har, har. Your test sucks and to add to the suckiness, I offer the following.

I wish to participate in the current test. The telepathic message I have received from you says the number is ##. The Hash code is 994a63de.

Deleted. I had only read the first post. :D

I have received a fairly large of testimonies indicating that I am a telepath, including from my own (1)mother, (2)a psychiatrist, (3)on this forum, (4)on Yahoo Answers, (5)on the phone... The "copycats" probably have not.

Numbering added by me to more easily address your claim.
  1. Not an unbiased judge of that.
  2. Fantastic, mind showing us evidence of this including the credentials of the psychiatrist?
  3. No. Just no.
  4. Yahoo answers, really?
  5. What does 'on the phone' mean?

Michel, I support your efforts to prove that you have telepathic skills and I think the test you have proposed is an excellent one. The many naysayers in this thread just don't have an open mind to accept the evidence that you have provided that your telepathic skills are real and demonstrable.

This is a beautiful statement, SezMe (I like it more than the one that follows). However, your hash code seems too short, and incorrect. Please use this website:

Really? Which point did I miss?

You entirely missed the point that your system of CR does not work. One post was friendly in tone one was not yet both had the same answer.

The hash is the same in both posts and is intentionally broken so that you cannot dishonestly use it in your "results".

Why there were two.
I don't know why there were two very different, very contrasting consecutive answers. Perhaps you know better than me. Normally, in such a case (several answers), I retain the last one, which is unfortunately the worse in this case. However, the MD5 hashes appear to be incorrect, and therefore the answers are not valid so far, and this offers some protection against having to take the last one for the analysis of the results. I hope the member (SezMe) will clarify this situation.

Another thing which worries me is that I am getting so few valid answers (only one after almost two days of testing). I changed the text in blue below, in order to try to encourage people to answer. One of the difficulties of this forum is that people here, who think they are very smart (?), and that "claimants" are ridiculous dummies, tend to make many comments, often disparaging and very critical (that's no secret), an activity for which they don't seem to be very gifted unfortunately, while, at the same time, they provide very few answers to the test (and even fewer valid answers), an activity for which they have shown a real talent (in my opinion). Perhaps there will be progress when they will do what they do best, not what they do worse.

Going back years...what started you thinking that you might have a gift with getting people to pick from less than a handful of numbers?
Did you ever try to test the waters to see if you had this gift in getting people to choose correctly from choices of say an apple, orange, banana and grapes?
Or tried some other telepathic test, like go to the beach, scan for someone 'hot' looking, and stare towards the person in deep concentration and say ''Come over and talk to meeee. Come over and talk to meeee. Come over and talk to meeee. ''
Is there any financial advantage, that you have ever thought of, by having your numbers talent?

Odd. As most would assume that multiple answers would invalidate all those answers as dishonest.

That you can't see what point is suggested by multiple answers further invalidates the "objective" credibility score.

It is a bad system. Please listen to the feedback and consider a form of test that will actually convince people. Don't just keep rehashing a bad idea over and again.

Well, about 30 years ago, I began having a feeling I was "telepathic". But, at that time, I was not yet thinking of doing tests.

Did you ever try to test the waters to see if you had this gift in getting people to choose correctly from choices of say an apple, orange, banana and grapes?

I have done at least one test in which I asked people to choose from words, but not these.

Or tried some other telepathic test, like go to the beach, scan for someone 'hot' looking, and stare towards the person in deep concentration and say ''Come over and talk to meeee. Come over and talk to meeee. Come over and talk to meeee. ''

I don't think this would be a lot of fun, not for me, and perhaps not for the other person either.

I am not sure what you mean by "numbers talent". I am an engineer, and a physicist. When I was still employed, my professional activities were useful to get paid. I currently do some research in physics, this helps me keep my sanity, when I can no longer stand the horrible ignorance, arrogance, aggressivity and stupidity in mathematical stuff of people on this forum. On the other hand, my physician actually encouraged me to do also some research in telepathy, a few years ago (something the local pseudo-skeptics might have difficulty accepting, I know, they would perhaps ask for some kind of proof lol). He said "As to telepathy, I let you take care of that", that's what he said. Now, telepathy seem to entail some kind of security problems. If I did nothing on telepathy, I could perhaps get into some kind of trouble.

Yes, it's easy to understand. For example, people who want to attack me may be likely to attack me by giving an incorrect number, and also by putting aggressive stuff in their answers. Therefore, the two aspects are correlated. This is just basic human psychology.

No, that's a basic hypothesis. You have yet to show that people who sound hostile to you actually do give wrong answers. And you can't prove it with this test because you aren't controlling for the answer.

Just ... it's a very bad protocol.

If there is a point to see that I don't see, you are welcome to enlighten me, Tom.

But I have observed that a long, long time ago, in simpler tests with no blinding. About this, you might want to take a look at my first two threads on this forum, thread1 and thread2.

Michel, for those who have guessed? your chosen number...have you ever asked them what caused them to pick that particular number? Did any actually say anything like 'I had this feeling come over me that drew me to that number'. ??? Or do they say 'I just went eenie, meenie, minie, mo....and just picked one'. ???

I object to this test on grounds that MD5 is not sufficiently secure for this application

The security of the MD5 hash function is severely compromised. A collision attack exists that can find collisions within seconds on a computer with a 2.6 GHz Pentium 4 processor (complexity of 224.1).[25] Further, there is also a chosen-prefix collision attack that can produce a collision for two inputs with specified prefixes within hours, using off-the-shelf computing hardware (complexity 239).[26] The ability to find collisions has been greatly aided by the use of off-the-shelf GPUs. On an NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS graphics processor, 16–18 million hashes per second can be computed. An NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra can calculate more than 200 million hashes per second.[27]

These hash and collision attacks have been demonstrated in the public in various situations, including colliding document files[28][29] and digital certificates.[42]

My number is $$

No answer has been provided, other than the answers that are like are accepted, and the answers that are not liked are rejected. This is, of course, denied as being confirmation bias.

. Then, I asked myself (roughly): "What happens if I look only at the answers of the guys which seem friendlier in their answers (regardless of the number)". And then, it seemed that I began to see an apparent telepathy effect (i.e., more than 25%). It seems that this idea of credibility is very important in these online telepathy tests (at least, in "my case").

If you need friendly responses to prove your abilities then why are you running your test here?. Everyone here can see that the number of people not friendly to your claims is much , much greater than the number who are friendly to your claims. Can you see this fact?

Do you understand why this board cannot help you prove your case?
.................
please consider talking to medical professionals
