It may be obvious to everyone else that Ladewig was just humouring him in the process of trying to persuade him to see a health professional but it clearly isn't obvious to Michel, in the same way that obvious sarcasm is not obvious to him. It's very sad, and a bit distressing to witness.

Sure, but back in 2013 he was at least getting some traction from sarcastic responses. Now that we clearly know there is some underlying thing going on I am full sure Ladewig's response would be different, and sure enough it is.

This is borne out by the lack of any response to Michel's latest attempt at a test. Nobody wants to respond. Everyone wants him to seek appropriate assistance. Indeed it is a tribute to ISF members that so far none have engaged.

Nonetheless, Michel is actively posting this very same thing elsewhere, and receiving buckets of derision. He interprets it as validation. At the very least, he can receive some sympathy here for his plight.

I am fully aware that armchair analysts hand forth unsupported baloney, but while I write those off willy nilly, Michel gets a lot of sympathy from me. I do not mean that in a patronising way. He has been very honest in regard to his interactions with his mother, his therapists, and even himself. I have not seen that before.

Were I honest, I think Michel knows something is not quite on the level. He has admitted so. On that basis, there is something to save here.
 
You are going about this wrong Michael. If you want to test if YOU have telepathy, you must guess the number. None of us has telepathy. So when we guess it is meaningless.

So Michael, guess my number. If you guess correctly I'll will become a believer. Your only clue is that my number is between negative infinity and infinity. Good guessing.

Oh and BTW if you guess correctly, message me privately... so I can teach you how to play Texas Hold'em. ;)

You know, he will likely take your post seriously--it is probably best to avoid sarcasm or attempts at humor, since, based on many of his previous posts, Michel will likely not be able to detect the intent, and/or will read into the post something that will help support his beliefs.

And Michel--I don't know what number you selected, and neither does anyone else. Some people may get it purely by chance--just by guessing.

Your latest "test" is as badly constructed and unscientific as your earlier ones. Anyone familiar with them will already know (and not by telepathy or precognition or clairvoyance or any other bogus kinds of "ESP") that you will simply pick and choose any answers that you think support your supposed powers.

You should try to understand that when people urge you to consult a doctor they are not attacking you or calling you "crazy", but actually trying to help.

I do not now, not have I ever, believed that you have telepathy.

I really, really want to know what your doctor said.

Anyone who was serious about proving that he has telepathic powers would not hesitate to share the information with his doctor.

It's pretty obvious that Michel has zero confidence that he actually has super-powers himself, otherwise he wouldnt continue with these broken "tests" and would design something better.

He's had it explained to him a kajillion times, but it's just not the answer he wants to hear.

The fact that such ideas/beliefs are a known effect of a mental illness he has been diagnosed with may have some relation. Alas, it appears that treatment fails some people, such as the infamous MI5 guy - http://www.mi5.com/.

Michel created a new thread for this latest repetition of his worthless test there. Perhaps he thought it would make it seem scientific if he put it in the Science subforum. It's now been merged with the thread in GS&P which contains the rest of his worthless tests.

Also, I think it is time for you to stop pretending that you don't know what sarcasm is.

You have already expressed the belief that the entire world is ready to tell countless lies to you to serve their purposes. Even if you believe that we are all liars, that does not excuse your telling untruths. If you are willing to lie so easily, then we have one more reason (among many) to not believe your claims of telepathy. You know what sarcasm is, you have been pretending to not understand it to further your little game.

You do not have telepathic powers, Michel.

I am perfectly sure my brain does emit electromagnetic waves, much like a city emits noise.

However I am confident that the clamour of a million people, cars, factories, buses etc just adds together to make incoherent noise and does not merge together to form one coherent signal that sounds like the city is saying "one", "two" or "three".

Nor do the electrical emissions from your brain do so either. Michel, you are not telepathic. Nobody is telepathic. People who become convinced they are telepathic do not think so because they are telepathic. They aren't.

Well, he's convinced that's what he can do; however there's good reason to think he has medical problems. Any engagement with him, no matter how worded, only serves to fuel his monomania.
