It's appropriate to be angry (if one is either innocent or indignant that women would dare try to deny him his due). It's wildly inappropriate to show one's anger in that setting, especially in such an over-the-top fashion. Is he a child or a federal judge looking for a promotion?

The bottom line is that this kind of display is abnormal. One wouldn't expect it out of a fellow employee in a minimum wage call center, let alone a federal judge trying to prove that he's the right person to be given a seat on the Supreme Court.

But Trump was very proud of K and said in a tweet that we could all see why he nominated him and that his testimony was "honest".

Yep, having seen the display of anger, belligerence, self-pity, and lying by K, I can definitely see why Trump likes him.

And Kavanagh is already sacrificed on the altar of political expediency. The FBI review will give Collins and Murkowski an out to vote no.

There is a lot of anti-Kavanaugh protesting going on in Alaska and Maine. I hope the senators listen.

I don't suppose any of you think the FBI should look into Ford at all, am I right?
And how would you suggest the FBI conduct an investigation without looking into Ford? Can you show where anyone in this thread has suggested she shouldn't be looked into?

There's also a big difference at being angry about the accusations and merely throwing a petulant tantrum because anyone dared question you about them.

And she has said under oath that she welcomes an FBI investigation. Unlike one of the other people who testified that day.

I didn't like his less than honest approach to some questions. However, his anger didn't bother me a bit. When they started harping on his drinking and possible blackouts, I really wish he would have said, "Yeah. So what?"

Remember how furious Obama got when people questioned his citizenship, over and over again for years??

Me neither. There's an expectation in leadership for cool-headed people. Cavanaugh ain't got that.

As for harping on drinking and blackouts, that would not have been an issue if he had not presented himself as a perfect alter boy earlier in the hearings. You know, if he had not committed perjury. Remember, before Ford came along, the perjury was the big issue. It has not gone away.

No judge would let a woman on the witness stand describing her rape engage in such histrionics without advising her to calm down and/or offering a recess to collect herself. It's frankly shocking that anyone would think it was appropriate for a federal judge to act that way while testifying before a US Senate committee.

I'll believe that when I see the entrails. I've a sneaking suspicion the GOP is half hoping everyone will just assume it to be a done deal so they can ram it through regardless.

Kavanaugh isn't being sacrificed. That's hyperbole. And his possible rejection isn't being done for expediency. He simply doesn't have the stuff to be a Supreme Court Justice.

This FBI investigation should look into whether or not K committed perjury by interviewing:

1. Mark Judge regarding who 'Bart O'Kavanaugh' really was, whether K was one the the 'other boys' who engaged in having sex with the drunk woman that Judge described to Rasor, what the 'Renate Alumnius' really was, what 'ralphing', 'devil's triangle' and 'boofing' were, and whether he knows of any times that K could not remember events due to being drunk.

The following should also be interviewed:

Elizabeth Rasor
Ramirez and corroborating witnesses
Swetnick and corroborating witnesses
Brooks (who called into Chris Cuomo's show)
PJ Smyth

The FBI should also interview other classmates who may have chosen not to come forward but who would have first hand knowledge of Kavanaugh during high school and at Yale.

Senators from both parties will demand to see the report so I don't have any fears of that.

Christine Blasey Ford told the US Senate Judiciary Committee that the memories of Brett Kavanaugh “first came up” when she went into counseling in 2012. In May 2012 Ford and her husband argued over her desire to add “a second front door” to their home. Ford told the committee on Thursday the desire for a second door was because Brett Kavanaugh made her “claustrophobic.”

As Paul Sperry reported on Thursday night. The Palo Alto building permits were issued to Ford and her husband in 2008 — NOT 2012.

"BREAKING: Palo Alto bldg permit records raise questions about Ford's testimony she completed an “extensive remodel” of home in 2012 & that this was seminal event that led her down path to coming out against Kavanaugh b/c she needed to add an escape door. Permit was issued in 2008."

You're reading more into it than is there out of desperation. They got the permits in 2008. That doesn't mean they began remodeling right away. 2008 could also mean Dec. 2008. Ford said the "Extensive remodeling" was completed in 2012. Some remodeling can take a year or more depending on how much is being done and if they took periods off in-between projects.

Try again.
