As she and others have explained, Ford asked that her anonymity be preserved, and she only came forward publicly after parties unknown released her letter and reporters started showing up at her house and her job.

It's modern medicine and the availability of condoms talking: the only reason, evolutionary, to seek virgins is the fear of STDs.

Only after the committee approves the nomination. It would be more "good for him" if he withheld his vote until after an FBI investigation.

I think Flake said that he wants a delay so the FBI can do an investigation, but then voted it out of committee and to the entire senate for a vote?

Is that normalized for age? People married in their early 20’s or late teens are much more likely to end up in a divorce. I imagine that the vast majority of people who are virgins when married are also younger and therefor more likely to divorce anyway.

That is right. He has asked that the Senate delay voting for a week and have the FBI conduct an investigation. But there's nothing binding about it.
 
11-10, Flake claims he won't vote on the Floor until there is an FBI investigation.

turns out that was anecdotally correct, but statistically false.
