I really don't get why he was so openly lying about his lack of memory loss while drinking. He flat out denied it, and there's going to be a lot of people who knew him saying that isn't possible.

He could have just as easily spun it, and said that there was never a time when he truly lost track of where he was or what he did, but when he was young he might have experienced blackouts of short periods. Some good coaching could have help him choose some safe answers. As it was, he sounded ridiculous on that subject.

I have yet to hear a single #me too question why a woman wouldn't tell anyone and wouldn't always fight back especially early on in the assault.

But I have heard a number of men claim that not fighting back is evidence the girl is lying.

You know... it raises the pretty dark question of... are they sometimes trying to justify something _they_ did in the past.

An interesting comment from /r/politics

Check this out yo.

So based on Kavanaughs calander, it confirms that on Thursday July 1st 1982, he went to Timmy’s for skis w/Judge, Tom, PJ, Bernie, Squi.”

Ford had previously identified Mark Judge as being in the room while Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her and said that “P.J.”—a man named Patrick Smyth—was elsewhere at the weekday gathering.

Smyth denied to the Judiciary Committee being present at any such gathering however this then conflicts with Kavanaughs calendar which says he was there.

Now if Kavanaugh is saying that Ford was never around he and his friends at this point in time, how the hell would she have known that Judge and PJ were there that week.

That's the kinda **** the FBI need to start knuckling down on.

Democrat senator analyzing
1 wants to ban abortion
2 backs Trump 100%
3 seems to have been party animal and Ford woman gave details

Next candidate! Do you have any women?

Mark Judge is hiding and the SJC refusal to subpoena him is so telling. They all know truthful testimony from Judge would sink K.

Exactly. It's a tad tricky explaining how both 1) yes, it's true that your memory was severely impaired to the point of blackout, but 2) you are positive you do not have some raping inner monster who would appear here and there for an hour at a time or so between your snapshots of memory recalled the next day, some monster you'd never even hear rumor of until 30 years after the fact.

I personally suspect he does recall having sex with her, and enough alcohol was involved on her end to where the questionable nature of her consent would be apparent, and he chose to just go with "I never even even blacked out, and I also never had sex with her" than be the guy who argues it was all completely consensual in spite of factors X, Y, and Z.

His constant weaseling out of answering that the FBI should investigate what he says are false allegations against him when the accuser is asking for just such an inquiry is a huge tell too.

Disclaimer: for we the un-anointed, this is just a matter of deciding for ourselves what the truth most likely is and regaling each other with our opinions. We don't have to prove anything, and neither do the senators who will vote tomorrow.

Fact: Ford passed a polygraph. Her testimony was responsive, detailed, and consistent.

Fact: Much of Kavanaugh's testimony was histrionic, evasive, and confrontational in various mixtures. He invoked the Revenge of the Clintons specter in his opening statement, between self-pitying sobs. Also the Rich Leftist Massive Conspiracy.

Advantage: Ford.

Right. He didn't even seem genuine in trying to blow the question off. He wouldn't even go "That would be fine by me. Sure. Please do, although the choice to or not to is ultimately not mine to make."

Pretty sure that's because the Republicans really don't want the FBI to investigate, and it being a matter of an FBI legal record that she was talking to her therapist about him in 2012.

It has been claimed in this thread (I believe by MeadMaker, but I don't want to go looking for the actual post) that it's unbelievable that Julie Swetnick was raped at one of the parties K and Judge attended yet kept attending more of these parties. This is an unfounded assumption. Swetnick says she went to about 10 parties where she saw K and J et. al. spiking the punch in order to get girls incapacitated so they could be sexually abused, including "pulling trains". In her statement, Swetnick said she was drugged and raped at one of these parties but does not indicate which one or that she then continued to attend these parties. It is likely that she was raped at the last party she attended which would be far more logical.

K... Frankly, I'm shocked that none of the Dems pointed that out as it's an important distinction.
They did, Kavanaugh ignored them, filibustered some more going on and on about his school days, and then it was time for the Republicans to repeat the lie.

I'm still watching (delayed) and he just once again refused to answer the question about wanting the FBI to investigate. Harris asked for a straight yes or no and we got the same evasive scripted answer yet again.
That's not the only question he avoided answering. He had a very hard time denying he was a frequent drunk in high school and college. He used the BS claim he barfed easily when it was clear he vomited a lot fro drinking. I don't know anyone who vomits after a couple of beers.

Anyone else?
