The stakes in this game are high for all participants, but oddly enough especially for Trump and Avenatti: the Senators will find ways to justify whatever they do. Kavanaugh can get back to his lifetime appointment. His accusers will stay in the cross-hairs of the nutjobs whether Kavanaugh makes it or not.
But if the accusers get credibly discredited, it would sink Avenatti. But if they bring believable testimony, it could hurt the GOP even more with women voters, even if Kavanaugh is made to withdraw.
 
Hmm, Thirsty’s witness was going to parties where she was at least 18 and in college into sophomore year in college when he was 16 and going to be a junior.

She went to ten or so parties where gang rapes were going on, she got gang raped at one in 1982, and kept going until 1983.

Sounds legit.

Well, I think they're afraid that there's not enough time to find another one and get him (and it will almost certainly be a him) confirmed before the Democrats gain control of the Senate.

no, they are not: there is plenty of time, including a Lame Duck period in which they can do whatever they want.

But the GOP would be in the ******* with the Federalists and Evangelicals and Trump if Kavanaugh doesn't make it.
 
Trump should appoint a woman.

What did she say? I heard her point out that there was nothing ridiculous about having a woman only board, because it had been a man only board for a very long time, but I am not going to die in a ditch about this. I find it a point to discuss with intense relevance to this deplorable situation. Apart from a few quasi celebrities like Mary Tourneau, women seem to be relatively unscathed by suggestions of grabbing male parts.

I don't understand this method of yours. You provided a paraphrase without proper attribution - not even a link to a site with a similar paraphrase - and now you want to **** on someone else for not doing the work you should have done in the first place.

Opposite anecdote: I knew a group of high school guys who found a 35-40 year old woman who really liked to "conquest" the whole lot of them on a regular basis. I didn't get either side of the equation, but I knew enough of those involved that I knew it was true.

A stupid insult.
Some posters use it to describe someone desperate to grab the attention of the media at any cost. They think it fits Avenatti, but it is actually a much more accurate description for Trump.
