There's really no excuse for this one. Who the hell thought this would be an effective campaign ad? This isn't just the least effective political ad ever made, this is pure political suicide. If he didn't want to run for president, he should have bowed out gracefully, not by doing this.

Did anyone else notice that Perry is dressed in the jacket from "Brokeback Mountain" in his ad? Perhaps he doth protest too much?
