If I can't have you, the person I dream about every night, read my posts, then what's the point of doing something as easy as hanging it on my wall.....
 
KK, while we're on the subject of Jesus, may I ask a question?

Where, in the Bible, does Jesus say that he was God?

Or did he think that was too trivial to mention?

You see the problem here? If he wasn't God, then Christianity is horribly blasphemous. But if, as you claim, he was (or rather, is) God, and if, as you claim, salvation depends on believing this, then why the heck didn't he say so?

I think if you read Hebrews 1 it is pretty clear...
God's Final Word in His Son
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

For to which of the angels did He ever say,
"YOU ARE MY SON,
TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"?
And again,
"I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM
AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"?
And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says,
"AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM."
And of the angels He says,
"WHO MAKES HIS ANGELS WINDS,
AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE."
But of the Son He says,
"YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER,
AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.

You aren't very clear on the idea that it is logically fallacious to use the bible to prove god, are you?

Maybe you should write all of your posts in upper case. After all, everyone knows that if you shout at somebody loud enough they will understand you, even those stupid foriegners who don't speak your language!

But when it comes to the problems in this world...I get very upset to see so much violence and deceit in the world. Does this make me even more extreme, Yes! But I unlike you know the battle is the Lords.

I myself had gotten so sick watching the news after 911 I stopped watching the news. I might read headlines in the paper but I am not one that is well educated on what goes on world wide nor do I want to be. If God leads me in a direction to become more active in politics, or teachings concerning other world views and religions, then I am open. But I am more of a people person than an historian or politician!

I'm afraid I have to disagree this time.

Kathy was asked where in the bible it said something, and she showed us.
She can't be criticised for doing as she was asked. Especially as it's so novel. :)

The bible does specifically say God says Christ is his son, at the baptism. {paraphrasing} "Behold my only begotten son, in whom I am well pleased. "

I agree 100% that when we ask Kathy to tell us something about her faith from her own perspective, she is wrong to go to the bible for the answer instead of to her own thoughts. But when you ask her where the bible says something, and she responds with the bible, well, what's the problem?

Not trying to lecture; just sayin'.
