New government in Denmark

It might just be my distrust of them, but they could leave or threaten to leave government and set up shop as for rent to either a minority government or the opposition.

In any case, it's going to be amusing to see how HTS is going to keep the Unity List (aka the Communists) pleased, while at the same time not doing anything to offend the Social Liberals.

Then again, I suppose she only has to pull out the "scare card" that is Danish People's Party...

I think it will be a while before the Unity List will take on the blame for bringing back a Tory government. They have had a bumper election, but I doubt they can repeat that any time soon; there are too many internal fractions, and Johanne will not be able to hold them together through another campaign just now.

Actually, I predict that Johanne Smidth-Nielsen will not stay with them, once she has had a taste of power. She will move to one of the more central lists, in a few years. Once the present leader has run tired (he already shows the signs), the People's Socialists should welcome her with open arms, and a real chance of getting a ministry.

If that happens, the Unity List will fade back into obscurity.

Funny how you misspell the same word the same way right after each other.. :D

ops...

I wonder why the spell checker didn't catch it. I did a Google search for 'cerntral' and it produced no less than 150,000 hits, presumably all misspellings, since the word does not appear to exist.

Oh, well...........
