Well, sorry if I stepped on anybody's toes, but my remark--"...only a psychologist..."--was intended in the sense of, as opposed to "...a psychologist AND a primate expert".
Meaning "she only has one job, that of psychologist", as opposed to, "She has two jobs--a psychologist, and a primate expert".
