I had to remind myself that what you're responding to is simple trolling, but you bring up an excellent point in that even flippant, illogical statements can be certainly harmful when read by a vulnerable person.

In my 15 year career as a social worker I was involved in suicide prevention, as a young adult I knew an individual who terminated their life successfully. I worked as a Crisis counselor for a year and a half, I worked with many peri-suicidal people, pre and post attempts. I knew a young person who killed tehmselves after they moved to another town, despite their aggravating personality traits their death was a tragedy.

Slipknot's statements are irresponsible and harmful, trolling or not, what they say is unproven and harmful. I worked for two years with an individual who had mistaken magical thinking and delusions about their immortal spirit and how it would be just fine for them to end their life.

Except for the fact that it was an unproven delusion and would be harmful to their family and friends.

I'll hazard a guess that you've never felt suicidal before, nor worked with peri-suicidal people either, but the risk is higher than you seem to realize.

Even then, you've been a member here for a long time; extrapolating your personal experience to the general case is looked poorly upon here for a legitimate reason.

Like most humans who live on earth, I'm fully aware of the hazards of being alive. We all know somebody who has either attempted or succeeded in committing suicide. My point was that I don't think anyone should start worrying about people on here taking the quite obviously ridiculous posts of the hilariously named "Slipknot" as anything more than obvious nonsense.

Even if suicide is forgiven it is destructive and wasteful and your statements about it are harmful.

I see now that the Panache Desai name no longer appears in the image that was posted on page 13 here. How odd. I am pretty sure that the image originates with Desai, and although it appears in various places on the internet, it is almost certainly stolen. Since the time for editing posts is long past, one must assume that whoever hosted that image has edited the image itself, to hide its source.

I'm not going to bother to research it and given the nonsense in this and other threads, it's a minor issue, but hot linking to copyrighted material, unless it's your own, is not cool here, and doing so to stolen images is less so.

Allowing for any bad outcome after death creates the possibility that he could have a bad outcome after death. To prevent that possibility he doesn't allow for bad outcomes.
