Mythbusters

I wish they would say the names of the assistants in a different order. I keep thinking that Cary Grant is on the show. I know they're good, but they can't be that good.

I heard from a friend that Kari's teeth are fake. I can't tell from the picture. Are they real or fake? I'd like to see this one BUSTED.

I thought they only tackled myths that are believed by a non-negligible number of people?

EYES OFF! She's mine! :D :p

Keep her! Scottie Chapman was way cooler.

I was a huge fan of Mythbusters in the beginning, I'm sad to see they very seldom come close to the quality of the first two seasons anymore. And don't get me started on the "build team", their entertainment value is vastly overrated IMO.

They have a standing "No 9/11 Stuff" on their fan website.

I don't blame them, frankly. We've all seen here just how irrational, vocal, and even threatening the conspiracy goons can be towards anyone who "busts" their wild ideas. Also, they'd be secondary compared to actual investigations.

Great show, by the way. I know of no other show that so thoroughly walks through the real scientific method, complete with missteps, surprises, and occasionally the need to acknowledge that, hey, maybe we were wrong?

I agree especially those Whacko’s who push that 19 hijacker one. They’re really unstable and possibly dangerous.

I try to avoid them as much as can.

It seems that a lot of the spontaneity has gone out of the show, most obviously with the build team. Whereas previously I felt they were really discussing what they were doing (in the bumpers), now it seems either scripted or overly rehearsed.

Um, didn't they already do the one about using cell phones on a plane? I know they did one testing the myth about it interfering with airliner instrumentation.

P&T did cover 9/11. And their synopsis was this:

Just because we don't like the president doesn't give us the right to jsut make ◊◊◊◊ up!

Keep in mind too that while 9/11 may seem like a big deal to Wooers like Zen, it's not something appealing to the masses. It's hardly a myth. A myth requires a belief by a large pool of people. The 9/11 Woo movement is smaller than the flat earth society, so there isn't enough of a viewer base for Mythbusters to waste time on a 911 experiment. The majority of the country isn't even aware there are goofballs out there who think 9/11 is a myth. So to make an episode about it would jsut be an insult to most people and be like the show is trying to give any credibility or suggest it's even possible for 9/11 to be a myth. Likewise, you also don't see them addressing the myth that the earth is flat. They won't address 9/11 for the same reasons.
