To take the first step and verify your claimed ability, I propose this simple test:

1. Get two friends together to help you with this test. Explain to them what you are trying to do and how they need to help.

2. Write down a sentence you want to "send" to friend A on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope. Seal the envelope. Take a simple sentence like for example: "This is Vytautas, how are you this afternoon?"

3. Give the sealed envelope to friend B and ask him to keep it until you have finished "sending" the sentence. No one is allowed to look inside the envelope before you finished "sending". Of course, you are not allowed to tell anyone what you wrote on the paper.

4. Set a time limit beforehand, for example: ten minutes. "Send" the sentence.

5. Friend A writes what he "receives" on a piece of paper. After he has "received" the sentence or after the set time limit, the test ends.

6. Compare the two papers.



Please try this and let us know the results, Vytautas.

Alternatively, try to "send" a set of one-digit numbers.

Choose ten numbers and mark them on a piece of paper from 1 to 10, like in this example:

1. 3
2. 5
3. 2
4. 9
5. 8
6. 1
7. 4
8. 7
9. 10
10. 6

Set a time limit for each number. Friend B will let both of you know when the time limit is reached and when you will proceed to the next number.

If the three of you remain in one room, which is ok for this level of testing, you and friend A must not face each other. Sit back to back, two metres apart. Friend B may watch you both and make sure you don't signal or communicate.

You've made some good first steps Vytautas. You've discovered that your ability doesn't work in all situations. Like others here said, it seems strange that you would be so immidiately confident that the reason for failing with a picture here is due to not having met the person. What makes you think that specific fact caused your failure? Any number of things might have caused it to fail. Maybe the person has to be in a specific location. Maybe they have to have a certain hair color. Maybe you must have eaten a ham sandwich in the last week for it to have worked. Maybe your talent doesn't work at all, and something else explains your apparant success in the past. Maybe it only works on Tuesdays.

With somthing that doesn't happen all the time, it works best if you can duplicate the original conditions as closely as possible, and simplify the testing steps to make testing many things easier.

Know that such a thing can be an endless process (assuming you don't throw your hands up at some point and just decide it doesn't work at all). For example, a person might roll some dice sometime while saying "seven", and discover the dice come up 7! That person might start thinking they can make 7 come up every time just by saying it. They might test it, and find that seven comes up sometimes, but not any more often than one would expect by chance (1 in 6 times would be average). Some people would then assume the original result was just a fluke then, and that there was nothing more interesting to be found. Others would simply decide that maybe they have to roll on a certain table, or maybe they have to think about the number for a very long time, or think really HARD, or rest several days between, or any number of other random ideas. Testing all of these could take a really long time, and may never produce results.

It's hard to tell if an unknown ability is going to be like this. It could take years, even decades of study and you might never get closer to finding out how to make it work for you. I can say with certainty that in all my time here every ability that has been tested a lot ended up being too difficult to make it work for a demonstration. So with that in mind, forgive people here if they assume your ability will be the same as all the others.

I'm wondering, from the examples he has given, if he doesn't suffer from a minor mental flaw that causes him to vocalize his thoughts without being aware of doing so. There's a name for that condition, I'm sure, but I don't know it.

It would explain so much!

My wife says I have a tendancy to do this sometimes, especially when I'm really busy or distracted. Without realizing I'm speaking at all, I vocalize various random thoughts...

Vytautas, can you give us an exact transcript of a conversation or event that demonstrated your telepathy?

Here is an example of an event that might, if repeatable, be evidence of telepathy:

Vytautas (thinking) : "Random thought: 'Mary Poppins' would have been a better movie if they used wallabies instead of penguins".
GzuzKryst (telephoning in from far away): "Whoa---I just heard a voice in my head talking about wallabies in Mary Poppins".

Here is an example of a conversation which does NOT tell us anything about telepathy:

No i dont vocalize my thoughs, and im not talking via telepathy near people. Only tried like 20meters, 10kilometers to 3000 kilometers.
When i talking in telepathy and close my eyes or im in dark room i see blue waves moving

I just sent Vytautas a PM with my simple test proposition.

He was online just a while ago and did not respond to inquiries from the night before. Neither did he follow up on his desire to be tested by the JREF.
It was probably just an oversight or a matter of time, but a yellow flag nonetheless.
