My prediction RE: Bachmann

I predict that one of those 23 girls that the Bacmann's fostered will come forth with some unsavory claims against the Bachmanns.

Whether or not said claims are true or not, however, is another issue.

You can't shuttle 23 troubled teens through your home without problems.

It will happen, It's just a matter of time.

And if that is what happens, I'll be sad.

I detest her, but I have some first AND second hand experience with troubled teens, and you can't imagine how hard that is.

I'm not so certain, but if it were done purely as a smear campaign, it would backfire, because if there was nothing unsavory there would certainly be more of her former foster kids coming forward to debunk the claims.
 
Whatever she's done with foster kids...and it seems from what I've read to be pretty admirable... her ideas are nutty, and she believes -- apparently -- that she's been called by god to do this. That alone is worth opposing her. The kids should be left out of this -- like what the Obamas as opposed to the Palins -- have tried to do. Minimal coverage.

Reminds me of the scene in "The Search For The Holy Grail" with the nuns.

"And then you shall administer a spanking!"

"Oh YES! A spanking!"

"And then you shall perform oral sex on all of us!"

Or something along those lines.

It wouldn't surprise me if this happens. Pay someone enough, and they'll do damned near anything.

I'm still not informed on what Bachmann wants to do as President, but attacking her on the outset because she's a Republican is scarcely what I'd call "skeptical." In fact, it seems to me rather biased and hateful, like that "documentary" about Sarah Palin, complete with obscene "opinions" posed by any number of people. I wouldn't vote for Palin, knowing her stance on a number of issues, but I'll be damned if I'll waste time or money on any of those who spewed their filth regarding her. I don't have to support someone to be offended by this kind of bilge.

Slow down there, old friend. The ribbing on Bachmann is well deserved. There's an entire thread around here somewhere that discusses her plethora of politically expedient (or not quite so) lies/misstatements. There is indeed good reason to not like Bachmann as a candidate for any political office, regardless of party lines.

Ribbing is fine. Adults involved in the contact sport of Politics should expect it. But getting into smear is beyond the pale, and not acceptable.

I don't agree with many here. But that's why I'm here. Funny how this works out, isn't it?
