My birthday party!

Well, I've be conscripted into some work in Phoenix, and it's going to prevent me from making it. Hope everyone has a great time!
 
Looks like I was able to work out a rough draft of a plan to attend this thing!! So, it looks like I'll be attending it.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Westchester (a bit above NYC) to Boston.

But, sometimes I just sing to myself "There ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no river wide enough..."
 
now the big question is what to do to celebrate her birthday? How can it be fittingly marked? Let me think...

Well I can think of one thing....

 
I assume there will be party favors. I would like a shetland pony, and for Steve... maybe a Pimp Cup. If they are personalised: his Porn name is Sir Shags-Alot
 
Had I known about the party favors, particularly the Shetland ponies... I would have carved out ample time to get to Boston from Texas! :horsehead

Ooo I just saw this. I'll try to make it Rebecca (I know you'll be heartbroken if I can't :rolleyes:) Unfortunately with so little time left, I'll not have time to get a gift (would you like one of the SuperCorgi's old chew toys?) - so I'll try not to be too creepy.

Dingo isn't old enough to be drinking in bars. Maybe next year.


ETA: We suck, we can't make it now...
 
Let me be the first to say : I hope Rebecca feels better, after leaving the party a bit early.

Not sure exactly what happened to her: She was either ill or just ultra-drunk. Either way we wish her the best.


Other than that, the party was great! Thanks for the invite!!
 
Had a great time. Wish I could have seen/talked with Rebecca a bit more, but as the birthday girl she was the center of attention and it was sometimes hard to get through the mob.

In any case, I had a good time. Many good people. No un-good people there... that I noticed at least.

Rebecca: Hope you liked the mic, but I will get you a stand for it if you need one, because I meant to include that. Will you be using it for the next podcast? I hope so!

Sorry I couldn't make it - came down with some sort of nasty, unspeakable stomach bug. I hope you had a great time (I'm sure you did since you usually do). Happy, happy, happy birthday to you! And super congrats on the NPR thing! You rock!
 
Thanks guys....the answer, Wowbagger, is: ultra, ultra, ultra drunk. Note to self: just because someone hands you a martini, it doesn't mean you have to drink it.
