No change of perspective. I just thought it was an interesting article for what it's about. The article is written by a Jewish guy throwing up his view on how Jews view themselves as victims. I thought of Skeptic when I read it as he is always going on about the Jewish "The world wants to throw us into the sea" perspective.

Nothing to do with my rants about the Zionist Agenda.
 
The Holocaust was pretty extreme as catastrophies go, I'm guessing it's going to be a big part of Jewish culture for a few more years yet. The years of anti-semitism in the Diaspora are going to figure pretty prominently as well. So, no, I don't see an end to it soon.

well, to be the devil's advocate here, its kinda hard NOT to consider yourself to always be a victim, when you are indeed very often a victim.

the last progrom in Europe was in 1952. Hundreds of thousands of Jews were forced to leave Arab countries, regardless of their views on Zionism and Israel.

We live in a strange period now, where Jews are no longer victims of mass killing, pogroms, expulsions, etc. But thats partially because the nations that would kick us out and kill us...have already finished the job.
 
Always a good idea to keep a passport and portable wealth handy.
 
It would be more difficult for Israelis to perpetually see themselves for victims, if the Palestinians did not always target civilians (women and children) for murder, and Iran didn't always rant about destroying Israel.

Israel's sense of victimhood is self-perpetuated by anti-Semites, Islamic radicals, Palestinian terrorists, and the Israelis themselves. It is a partnership in stupidity.

I've never started one thread along those lines. I have no issues regarding anyone for being Jewish

In terms of the Middle East conflicts I advocate the Palestinians should not lie down and be victims. Although in the Palestinian's case they would be victims whether they lied down or not.
