He was an early investor, and CEO. As such, he can be demoted, removed or sacked by the board.
All this is true. What is not true, despite any contractual agreements made after the fact, is that he was involved in the founding of the company. He invested in a pre-existing company, and then staged a hostile take-over, like the ◊◊◊◊ that he repeatedly shows himself to be.

He then used legal shenanigans to have himself declared a founder of the company, further illustrating how much of a lying ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ piece of ◊◊◊◊ he is, and how little regard he has for facts, truth or reality.

It is well understood Muskrat's self-inflated edicts are not worth the paper his plummeting shares in Tesla are printed on.

On a FB thread someone made the claim that Tesla was bound to become a 5 Trillion dollar company. I looked over their projects and plans and was scratching my head. An unimpressive robot project, cars that were now facing declining sales, a robotaxi project that is looking like vaporware, batteries and solar projects, and having their chargers around the nation. Of all those only the last seemed to have any future income creation. I noted this and they claimed that would be their bedrock. But a quick check showed it was worth about 12 billion annual income. Hardly something to claim a company is worth 5 Trillion.

Regarding the highlighted, is Tesla the main company providing chargers in the US? Just curious; they're just one of many in the UK, and, until recently, only allowed Tesla cars to use them. I think we have more variety of EVs in Europe in general, though.

Now reports that behind closed doors Congressional Republicans want Musk to shut up about SOcial Security. Musk is messing with the Third Rail of American Politics and the GOP Congressional Critters are afraid the resulting shock waves will hit them in 2026.

As in many places around the world, Tesla sales in Canada have been falling for months, an apparent reaction to Elon Musk’s outsize role in the Trump administration and his repeated denigration of Canadian sovereignty.

Yet somehow, four Tesla- owned dealerships reported to the Canadian government that they sold an astonishing 8,653 cars during a single weekend in January — enough to qualify for 43 million Canadian dollars’ (about $30 million) worth of government subsidies under a program just before it expired.

Now the Canadian government wants to know exactly how the electric carmaker managed to move two cars a minute off its lots — a rate that assumes those four dealers had stayed open 24 hours from Jan. 10 to Jan. 12.

they are holding the rebates until they investigate what seems pretty fraudulent sales, and have banned tesla from future rebates

Musk would be the worst politician ever. Almost as bad as Vance. How exactly did Musk think retirees would react when he said we social security folks, 70 millions of us, are parasites and fraudseters?

ANd Musk attempt to play kingmaker in Wisconsin failed; his attempts to buy a seat on the Wisconsin Superme Court for a right winger fail; the Dems win. I guess Musk antics did not impress the Cheeseheads.
Well, that's one bright spot anyway.

According to Politico, President Trump has told his inner circle that the billionaire tycoon will leave his government role in the coming weeks.

The White House called the report "garbage". And Trump's Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on X that Musk will "leave when his work is complete", although she did not specify a timeline.

The duration of Musk's work with the so-called Department of Government Efficiency - where he has overseen sweeping cuts across the US government - has never been made clear.

He is classified as a "special government employee", which would limit his service to 130 days a year.

A number of sources are saying this.
Looks as though the Wisconsin fiasco might have been the breaking point.
Trump advisors were aghast as the town meeting, considering it amateur hour and thinking the whole million dollar check was a terrible idea. Paying people to vote infront of GOd and everybody was a horrible look.

One group that hopes the robotaxis are not vapor wear is the legal community. Lots of nice juicy lawsuits if Musk really does push the robotaxi out the door before they are perfected. You can get away with this out the door while still buggy routine with software but not vehicals.
