It's like a caricature. I bet tomorrow they'll post long Maddow diatribes about how it wasn't funny and a NYT investigative piece citing seven anonymous government officials that say that the houmour police has started an investigation. And of course a Seth Abramson thread about what it really means.
 
I see that butbutbiden!! is replacing butclinton!!! for trumpkins without arguments. Fascinating. I thought they'd be stuck on the first broken record for a long time still.
 
Criticism of the New York Times: it doesn't have a comics section. That really says it all. ;)

What would you say are the leaks? Members of Mueller's team telling other people how they feel about Barr's activities certainly isn't a leak. The only thing that seem to have been revealed about the report itself is that it contains summaries. Is that really a leak?

WTF is even a "close associate"? What is even "members of Mueller's team"?

Are we talking about a senior prosecutor with real authority on the subject?

Or is this a frustrated paralegal with an opinion and boyfriend who went to the media with anonymous pillow talk?

It's really not, is it? You don't seriously think it might be. You're just feeling the need to say something.


The stories are very credible, including what they report about the existence carefully prepared summaries of particular aspects of the investigation. Carefully prepared, it is said, for publication despite the easily predictable objections raised so far. The report is going to come out in the near-term, and if they exist and have been suppressed by the DoJ for spurious reasons very serious questions will be raised.

Are you trying to be unconvincing? Nope, there's no well-poisoning going on there at all. Some frustrated low-status female spilled it in bed. Or maybe some frustrated low-status gay man, but I suspect you meant a woman.

You know what this story has? The ring of truth. I realize that doesn't sound very skeptical of me. But I think intuition is informed by our experiences in life.

I'll take the chance of being embarrassed when Barr releases the report. Which should be any minute now, right?

I meant whatever you needed it to mean. If I'd suggested a loose-lipped girlfriend you would have harped on that instead.

What's the difference between a ring of truth and a confirmation bias? How do you intend to prove that you're motivated to distinguish one from the other - or that you're even competent to do so? I'm sure you understand that we can't take "ring of truth" on your say so alone.

The sub-subject was that Teh Donald isn't funny and his request to Russia to release Killary's eMails couldn't possibly have been in jest. Which is of course ridiculous and a completely desperate "argument" to make.

Maybe it would be a sensible step for you to just accept that the sickness of the most sophisticated propaganda system ever invented by mankind has little to do with what you once did in local journalism, and nobody is blaming you for it.
