Excellent question. Why has the senate been to scared to interview Simpson and Steele? They have had ample opportunity.

They have sent letters to 81 people and organisations. That doesn't mean they are "investigating" them all, even if "investigating" is between quote marks.

Prince, however, apparently did not disclose information about the meeting when testifying before the House Intelligence Committee on November 30, 2017, according to a public transcript.​

It amazes me that transparently corrupt people keep agreeing to do interviews with Mehdi Hasan. He and Isaac Chotiner are the best interviewers around right now.
 
At this rate Republicans will need Martin Shkreli to consult on the practicalities of running the Trump 2020 campaign.
