I dont watch it. I dont have have cable, so I read everything mostly. I'm not even sure why you think it is snark.

Should the Americans have believed Woodward over the dozen people close to Nixon? might they have had some press working against them?

My prediction:
I'll put it here for all the naysayers aruing with me right now.:

Bad, bad things will come out about how the FBI, CIA, and UK and Aust intelligence handles things. There will be a slow drip and attempt to explain thing. i ee that is already happening. in the end ALL parties may have some part.

If if if it come in the mueller probe that people need to 'learn' somethng? Like FiSA or texts?Republicans will win. Mark my words here. Republicans WILL WIN.

It';s why tthey won the first time. People want to KNOW.

Don't bet any money on it, you'll lose. The Republicans and Trump stink of corruption and knowledge of it will energize the majority of America, the "not Republicans", to vote.

If (when) it turns out that the Muller investigation shows continuing criminal activity on the part of Trump, his organization and campaign, including but not limited to conspiracy against the US to aid a hostile foreign power to meddle in the US elections, will you still vote for Trump in 2020?

Are you seriously asking how someone advising the President on policy decisions affects the president's policy decisions?

Some of his criminal activity is out in the open, covered by the media, and Trumpers still think he's innocent. Trump admitted to firing Comey on national television to stop the Russia investigation and the idiots still think he isn't guilty of obstruction.

Maybe we should simply assume bad faith on the part of all Trump defenders, because it's pretty much impossible to defend him in good faith as it is.

He now claims that the video was edited to make it look like he said that, when he actually didn't.

Some probably even will. The rest will still claim they do even though for them, it doesn't matter what Trump does or doesn't do as long as he's hurting the people they hate. We have examples of both variety on these forums.

I have no doubt that, if the editing on the Comey firing interview was as bad as he says, complaints would have been immediately filed with the network by either him or his loving Communication staff. I ask that he brings those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!

I wouldn't be surprised if they White House decided to edit that part of the interview out, much like Russia does on their state-run media. Trumpers will edit it out of their memories as well. Republicans revise history all of the time.
 
coThere is no editing of that part of the video. He very clearly says that he was thinking of "that Russia thing" when firing Comey, all in one unedited close-up of his face.

Regarding the highlighted part, I think you misunderstood. I wasn't thinking anything was 'snarky'. I wanted to be sure that you didn't think I was being snarky. Without tone of voice heard in the written word, my comment "Have you ever watched Hannity's show" could be inferred as snark.

There is the world of difference between Woodward and Hannity. Woodward is a 45+ years experienced and well-respected investigative journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner. Hannity is an extreme right wing pundit and conspiracy theorist. He supported such nonsense as the 'Seth Rich was murdered by the Democrats' and the "Deep State" is out to overthrow Trump. Hannity enabled Trump with his Obama "birther" nonsense giving him a forum to spew that crap on his TV show and never really challenged him on it.
The fact that Trump is taking policy advice on an almost daily basis from Hannity is ludicrous and demonstrates Trump's lack of sense.
