Cohen advertised as the 1-man lobbying firm with a direct line to Trump, collecting definitely 105s, but probably 106s of $ .
If Trump got only a cent of this, it would be a massive breach of the Emoluments clause.

Manafort is going to have to be VERY careful going forward with his cooperation. The first time he says something the investigators know is false, all his benefits from the bargain could be out the window.

betting on people getting murdered is illegal.
Otherwise the Betting Markets would give Manafort not very favorable odds to survive the year.

Can we signature bet that? Because I will bet with anyone who thinks he will be dead.

You think he will or will not be dead?
I wouldn't feel comfortable with such a bet either way.

Besides, I think part of the Mueller Plea is added protection for Manafort, his family and possibly his lawyers.

Sometimes it might to better to burn sources feeding you bad information.

We don’t know much more. The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s lawyer, both told NPR and Politico that Manafort’s cooperation has nothing to do with Trump’s campaign. If so, it is unclear why Mueller—who is tasked with investigating the possibility of that campaign having colluded with Russia—would make an agreement that is predicated on cooperation. The plea agreement specifically requires Manafort to disclose to the government “his participation in and knowledge of all criminal activities.”

“We might not know what Manafort will tell them, but Mueller knows,” Benjamin Wittes, of the Brookings Institution and the editor of its Lawfare blog, told me. He pointed out that the plea agreement refers to a proffer session, earlier in the week, “in which the prosecutors will have sussed out what Manafort might be able to contribute.”

Taking Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Rudy Giuliani at their word, yikes.

That cooperation agreement requires that he tells them EVERYTHING and hand over all documents pertaining to his business and ANYTHING campaign related. So not only could he violate the cooperation agreement by lying, but by not being forthcoming in any way. If the prosecution feels Manafort is holding back he will never see the light of day outside a prison again.

I read he forfeited 5 of his residential properties including his 1500 sq foot condo in Trump Tower. But the feds are doing him a favor taking that property off his hands given its worth 25 percent less than he paid for it in 2006.

But after reading the crimes he committed and the work that he did, I think it's a shame that he might not die in prison.

The lesson here: If you're gonna break the law do it bigly, and in cahoots with even bigger players.

For the really big league white collar criminals, not only does the ratio of penalty to seriousness of the offense plateau, it even turns over so that the sentence gets into joke territory, comparatively, even before sentencing reduction via cooperation. The little people have to take it on the chin for lesser offences, while the really obscene jumos can get off more lightly for crimes orders of magnitude more egregious.

"The illegal Mueller Witch Hunt continues in search of a crime. There was never Collusion with Russia, except by the Clinton campaign, so the 17 Angry Democrats are looking at anything they can find. Very unfair and BAD for the country. ALSO, not allowed under the LAW!"

Well if POTUS says it's not allowed under the law then it's not allowed. Why doesn't Trump just do something about all this?

His thoughts are getting more disorganized.

I wonder after all this is finished with, say in 5-10 years time, if Mueller will write a book on what was going on behind the scenes the whole time.

I'm guessing it would come out sooner if Trump crash and burns.

If he goes anther 4 years it may take a while.
