I've got some pretty conservative FB friends. One is going on that it is hypocritical to be supportive of Christine Blasey-Ford in her allegations against Brett Kavanaugh while being critical of this duo. I suppose that's the spin that will be put on this.

well, these guys compare very favorably to Avenatti in that regard, at least they did not submit knowing false affidavits to Congress.

So, just to reiterate the holes in their story, for clarity?

In no particular order

1. The website contact for "Surefire Intelligence" is Jacon Wohl's mum.

2. The website uses fake names and stock photos of models, actors and people as members of its staff
- for Simon Frick, the "Financial Investigator" they have a photo of actor Christopher Waltz.
- for Donald Treehorn, their "LA-based Private Investigator” they have a photo of Nick Hopper, a British model and photographer.
- for Talia Yaniv, their “Tel Aviv Station Chief” the have a photo of Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli
- for Yuliya Karpov, their “Head of Government Relations” they have a stock photo of a model.
- for their “Deputy Director of Operations” they use a photo of a Dr Mike Harding, Minister from Michigan.
- for their Israeli Media Liason Evan Goldman, they use a stock photo of male model Oran Katan

3. They claim their client contacted "Surefire Intelligence" on October 1, when "Surefire Intelligence" didn't exist until October 9

4. They claim that their client was sexually assaulted by Mueller in 2010 at the same time as he was doing Jury duty in another city.

5. Their "managing partner" who "oversees all of the firm's operations globally" has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Harvard.... Harvard doesn't have a Chemical Engineering department.

Have I missed anything important?

Anyone who take these wankers seriously has an elevator that doesn't go all the way to the penthouse level!!

Wohl used a darkened *publicly-available* photo of himself as a photo of someone he had no connection to.

I'm on the phone so can't find the link.

Quick note : further commentary suggests it's not his girlfriend, but someone unconnected, and that the real person is pretty unhappy at being linked to this farce.

I have no idea what the real facts are in this case, other than they seem to be 'not what he said', because pretty much everything is unravelling.

At best, that's only due to a lack of opportunity or imagination.

I'm starting to think that the old maxim is not that correct; that you can and should sometimes attribute to malice that which otherwise could adequately be explained by stupidity, incompetence or ignorance.

The flaw in that old maxim is that there is no particular reason that malice and stupidity, incompetence, and ignorance can't all be part of the explanation.

I have an honorary law degree from Harvard. Just a figure of speech.

“Are you both prepared for Federal prison? No, we are not.”
Doubt there would be much argument on that. As ill prepared as any schmucks with deluded senses of importance born out of a life of privilege.

It is worth watching that little montage video just for that line. The honesty and earnestness with which he says it and then pauses, as if he might actually understand what he just said, but then moves on.

I highly recommend it and thank you for sharing.

That's too good to be coincidence. Maybe it really is performance art.

If only.

Julienne Adams began to suspect something was awry with Surefire Intelligence when all of its phone numbers suddenly disconnected.

Adams, a 35-year-old Washington state native, had hired the private investigations firm to recover damages for a truck she says was stolen. She had found Surefire through postings on Craigslist, where it billed its impressive roster of former Israeli intelligence agents and other experts in financial and criminal investigations. Its website appeared to be legitimate, and Adams even found a pair of glowing writeups about the company on the publishing platform Medium. She eventually ponied up $1,200 for Surefire’s services.

Adams had spoken with the firm’s ostensible managing partner, Matthew Cohen, last Friday, and he was optimistic about recovering tens of thousands of dollars from the man whom Adams accused of stealing her Hummer. They were scheduled for an in-person meeting in Portland, Oregon, near her home in southern Washington, on Tuesday.

Then the whole thing blew up. Cohen, it turns out, doesn’t actually exist. His real name is Jacob Wohl, and he’s a pro-Trump twitter troll and former teenage hedge fund manager with the dubious distinction of being the youngest person ever to earn a lifetime trading ban from the National Futures Association.

HillReporter has a small amount about Cass

They've got a quote from one guy badmouthing her, but since she sued him and won I'm not really sure we can necessarily take his statement at face value.

Most notable for this thread is that she is 34 years old, so for those wondering why Wohl and Burkman weren't pushing the angle that she'd have been a child at the time of the alleged assault, it's because she wouldn't have been by a long shot.

Diverting from Circus Wohl for a moment, the New York Times has obtained emails exchanged between Roger Stone (who openly bragged about being in contact with Julian Assange), Steve Bannon, and Matthew Boyle, the Washington Editor of Breitbart, discussing the leaks promised by Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.

This blows a hole in Stone's story, that he did not communicate with the Trump campaign about WikiLeaks about the hacked CLinton/DNC emails.

Oh, and Trump has signed a waiver permitting Solicitor General Noel Francisco to oversee the Mueller investigation, in case Rod Rosenstein is relieved of his duty.

This was necessary since Noel Francisco's former employer, Jones Day, is currently representing Trump during said investigation.

The talk before the press conference was that the woman was supposed to be 50+ years old. Can someone remind me why this was part of the Wohl story? Had he explicitly stated this?
