I see you've bought into the Trump attempt to discredit Mueller, a lifelong Republican, as somehow being out to get him.

All part of the divisiveness and the Paranoia State that Trump engenders. Drysdale is probably unaware there is a DOJ guideline that would make it very unlikely that Mueller would release anything this close to an election.

He also forgets that his Dear Leader benefited from a breach of that guideline in 2016. Comey’s decision to send a letter to Congress that he was looking into Hillary Clinton’s emails on Oct. 28 — 11 days before the presidential election may have cost her the election. There is evidence that it may have proven decisive in the key states.

Nothing except a bunch of indictments and convictions.

But it did not stop anyone from getting elected.

Benghazi, for example, hurt Hillary quite a bit as was the goal.

So when they say "nothing", they mean the lack of political damage.

It would be tough for Mueller to have had an impact on the election results considering he didn't take over the investigation said election.

It may very well be that his work will have an impact on the impending election. What degree is nigh impossible to quantify.

By the way, one little side note:

There was an interview with Trump where he states:
When Wikileaks came out ... never heard of Wikileaks, never heard of it.

So, Trump is claiming ignorance. Basically how could he collude if he didn't know who was providing the information.

Which means one of 2 things:

- Trump is lying

- Trump is ignorant... since Wikileaks was a pretty well-known organization and had been operating to expose U.S. secrets for years. So is it really a good idea to have a president who is so ill-informed about world events?

[water] Process crimes. [/carriers]

Some of them, certainly.

I wonder what other administrations would look like, if each one was afflicted with a special counsel on an unlimited fishing expedition. I bet every one of them would be full of every crime under the sun... except actually conspiring with Russia to interfere in US elections. Just like this administration.

Well, let's take this hypothetical of yours, shall we:

There's been at least one other administration afflicted with a "special counsel on an unlimited fishing expedition"--Ken Starr and the Clinton administration.

And as far as the Clintons are concerned, they managed to find...a lie about a blow job.

So the facts in evidence do not support your hypothetical ("full of every crime under the sun" LOL!).

I suggest putting more thought into it next time before posting.

Surely, lying to the FBI is a crime, right? Worthy of prosecution?

Just as Clinton's perjury, which is (per your odd notions) a "process crime" was worthy of impeachment? (By the way, I agree. A president lying under oath is a dastardly act.)

So who the heck cares about whether it is a so-called process crime or not? We're speaking about crimes, plain and simple.

Other administrations (at least in this century or the last) haven't had a President who was a pathological liar, a crook, a narcissist, a racist, a misogynist, a homophobe and a fraudster, all at the same time.

The nearest you got was Nixon, he was just the first two!

Ah, you're back to pretending that the fact that there have been no indictments of US citizens on conspiracy charges yet is significant, I see.

Honestly, I miss the days when people were just asking "how many indictments yet?" "Indictments" was so much quicker to type than "indictments of US citizens on conspiracy charges".

I think I've asked this question before. But how is the claim "All politicians are crooked" any different from "All jews are greedy"?

Or "All cops are violent sociopaths". "All black people are lazy". "All Trump supporters are Nazis". "All millionaires are degenerate swine".

Makes no sense.

Oh, Republicans are worst than that. They claim to have voted for Trump because he's not a politician. Then when all of his lies are pointed out, they say "all politicians lie."

I suppose that's part of the 9D multi-dimensional chess they are playing.

Blanket statements are warm and comfortable. Plus you can hide inside them and not peek out. You can also use the blanket to cover up things you don't want to confront or deal with.

Blankets are awesome!
