Oh come on, that was hilarious!
Not as hilarious as Belgium's African Museum.
Oh come on, that was hilarious!
Are you kidding? The media was asking Press Secretary Gibbs when the SOTU would be and all he could say was that it wouldn't pre-empt the "Lost" episode on February 2, 2010. When it became painfully apparent to POTUS Obama, the head of the Democratic Party, that the health care bill was not going to be passed this month or next, there was no longer any reason for any delay.
Aside from showcasing your favorite spelling for your ideology, do you have any substantive comment as to why MSNBC is into countdowns?
No, it is intensely boring. Not as hilarious as Belgium's African Museum.
Evidence that President Obama was going to delay the speech?
Or is this just a pointless 'Libs are stupid. The Media is Liberal, therefore, the Media is stupid' thread?
It's the librul media trying to cover up what the gubmit is doing.
or something.
"The White House announced Monday afternoon that the president would speak to a joint session of Congress next Wednesday at 9 p.m.
In the televised speech to the nation, Mr. Obama will outline his priorities for the coming year as well as recount what he believes are the achievements from his first year in office. Speech writers have been working on the address for weeks, but the date had not been set, pending the outcome of the health insurance legislation in Congress.
But the White House decided against waiting beyond January for the State of the Union address, which Mr. Obama will use to set the tone for the coming year."

I can see how MSNBC's countdown clock would benefit someone who has your attention span.
Very Good! Now.. Do you Hate President Obama for deciding to NOT postpone the speech after all? Or that he was thinking about postponing it in the first place?
Hey, at least it won't pre-empt Lost, like they said it wouldn't.
I can see how MSNBC's countdown clock would benefit someone who has your attention span.
Make sure you have all your guns loaded. I heard the libruls want to take them away!
MSNBC had a Suds Summit countdown clock, so why not a SOTU clock?
"All the cable news network's have been talking about this upcoming “Beer Summit” taking place at the White House tonight (6pmET! “Red, Light and Blue”!). But only one network took it to the next level – countdown clock."

Since the SOTU will be on every network local and national channel and news cable channel, what exactly is the purpose of this? Does MSNBC think of themselves as Cape Canaveral?
Maybe we can get a countdown clock going until Cicero's next pointless thread showcasing his hatred of all things Obama.
My first thought was "who cares". My second thought was "people actually watch MSNBC?"
Cicero, help me out here. I'm left-of-center, so by definition I'm a little slow.
But what the hell is this thread about?!
Criticism of MSNBC = hatred of POTUS Obama? Is this the new liberal math?
No argument with your self-appraisal. Since you are the target audience for MSNBC, can you explain why they feel the need for countdown clocks to usher in POTUS Obama Suds Summit or the SOTU?
