Mr. Stein goes to Jefferson City

Eos, you still seem to be conflating your beliefs and the knowledge that we have about geology today with what was believed and known in 1750.

Rambling on about Santa and the Easter Bunny won't change that fact.

...
I think it's not natural selection and mutation, etc. that are at the core of the issue - I don't think anyone should have a problem with those things. I think it's the conclusions that are drawn from those things to the point of abiogenesis and atheism that creationists have a problem with.

I think evidence-based, repeatable, provable things should be taught in school. Abiogenesis is not currently reproducible or provable, so it's in the same class as theism in my view. Evolution ultimately implies and relies upon abiogenesis and so it's not on firm ground if you take it to its limits.
...

No. Or at least not more so than any theistic account would ultimately imply and rely upon atheogenesis.

No matter which theory of life or cosmos you teach, ultimately, going back in time, there will be a point where life came from non-life. This inevitable conclusion should not keep us from theaching those theories about life that we already know to be correct. Such as Darwinian evolution. However, your argument is applicable to ID or any related faith-based theory, since they are basically (unproven) theories of abiogenesis.

OK, so it's still possible that it's turtles all the way down. Good.
