Most bizarre claim of "fake"?

I wonder if when you are convinced nearly everything is fake, that the discovery of the fakes becomes something of an addiction. It is fun, uncovering "reality", it's even pleasurable, a little burst of endorphins perhaps not dissimilar to that which compulsive gamblers get on a big win.

So maybe as your need for more and more discoveries increases, your tolerance for absurdity increases, and your criteria for evidence fades away to "whatever gives me that warm fuzzy feeling".

I think there's a degree of 'oneupmanship'; each CT wants to come up with a more egregious example of 'fakery' than the last one.

Well they are failing with this one then. Some cables being photoshopped is not really in the same league as faking a terrorist attack.

Unless of course Google is actually supposed to be Matrix-central or something.

What the hell goes on with the intent behind this stuff?

I know, it's almost as if Google faking something like this would be ridiculous.

Also, I'm of the opinion that there is no photograph in the world that the members of that forum wouldn't be able to look at and find a "flaw" with.

And of course, the cords aren't in the same position, and some sets use different colors. I am saddened that I read that, and even more saddened that people believe it. Idiots.

How is it that I am able to use Google to search for "Google conspiracy" and get a bunch of links in return

I note that the first two images in that link were posted by Heiwa. From what I remember of his time here, it's no surprise to me that he doesn't know what RJ-11 cables are, what a server farm looks like, or that server farms require cooling plants.

And he says there are no valves in the image of the cooling plant. Most of the black flanges are butterfly valves. You can't see most of the lever handles because they're on the far side of the pipes.

The comparison shots are the same picture. The vertical size on one version has been compressed.

It does look like it is, but it isn't.

Picture A shows a copper colored disc just above the orange cable at the top. That isn't in picture B. That picture however, shows a yellow cable in the upper left corner, which doesn't show in picture A. It also shows a grey area in the place where that copper colored disc is in picture A.

The whole upper left part of both pictures differ.

Not unless there are other changes as well. The upper left corner is completely different in the “A” and “B” pictures.

I wonder how they live their daily lives, they must look at everything thinking"hmm thats odd/suspicious". Ther are like sheep all wanting the approval of Simon Shack.
Until one of them or their relatives gets blown up!

I think this was brought up in the stundies a couple of months ago. It is a photoshopped image, the top two racks have been expanded vertically and skewed to get the correct alignment and copied in lower down. the skewing is very evident in the plugs on the left side of the rack where they are grossly distorted. The copper disc isn't there because that wasn't selected. If you reverse the process in photoshop all the cables line up perfectly and the plugs return to the correct perspective.

I agree with that.

They also get a boost or buzz in their brains as their paranoia increases.

Yep. I believe the general consensus was that there was likely an empty bay in that rack, and someone at Google decided to pretty it up for publication.
