wow. it appears some eyes may be opening in the Chosen State.

The Chief of the Mossad is saying that Israel use to be an asset to the USA...but is turning itself into a burden.

Now, lots of folks around the world knew this decades ago, but if a person in such a high level in Israel is starting to acknowledge this, perhaps the lightbulbs are finally turning on over there.

its not too late for Israel to turn this all around, and show the world that it can learn from its mistakes and change it ways.

Should they just march themselves into the sea?

Wildcat,

No... they should learn from their mistakes and change their ways

oooooooh. A strawman argument from Wildcat. Shocking.

No, Wildcat. Israel should not "march themselves into the sea".

They should end the illegal and immoral blockade of Gaza, end all settlement building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and sit down with the Palestinians to finalize a peace agreemant, where most Israeli settlers will move home to Israel.

But if you see such moves as tantamount to "marching into the sea", then you are beyond reasoning and I cannot help you.

In other words, they should march themselves into the sea. The Palestinians will accept nothing less. For Hamas it would be unconstitutional to do so, and Fatah isn't much better.

Does he get stundie points for saying something is a straw man, then proposes the exact same solution as the alledged straw man?

yes. because abandoning most of the West Bank settlements and allowing in 100,000 Palestinian refugees...would be the same as marching into the sea.

Neo-Zionists make me giggle. :p

The mind boggles.

indeed it does.

I suggest Israel finally come to a peace agreement, and do what everyone expects the final agreemant to entail. and this is then called "marching into the sea".

for some people, anything less than keeping ALL of the West Bank and slowly but surely forcing out the Arabs..is "tantamount to marching into the sea."

filthy fascists, the lot of them.

Strawman, not just for eating!

Even if so, I fail to see what Israel would achieve by weakening itself and bending to Arab demands. The Arab real demand, as the Palestinian Fatah conference made crystal clear as late as August 2009, is that Israel disappear per the "staged plan" for its destruction.

Look what the withdrawal from Lebanon and Gaza, which were supposed to raise Israel in the international arena and justify it, caused: merely further terrorist attacks, another Intifada which killed 1600 Israelies, and international condemnation for fighting back.

So doing as Parky said would, if anything, would vastly increase terrorism again and force Israel to fight even more and be condemned even more, and merely make the USA even less of a reliable ally, more willing to throw Israel overboard for worthless smiles from the Arab world.

"Thunder", as usual, mysteriously ignores the other thing the Mossad chief said: that Iran is constantly pursuing the bomb and the nuclear deal is just a scam, as usual.

THAT part, "Thunder" doesn't believe in.

Yes because we desperately need another Iran Nukes thread.

The chief spook's statement on Israel being a diplomatic liability for the US is something new and interesting.

It's an interesting article, but I wonder how much of the current US 'fedupedness' is a result of this particular administration's having less of an uncritically pro-Israel bent than other previous (or possibly future) administrations.
