No indication as to whether they have renounced a belief in the Book of Mormon in general, but it's a step away from bigotry, at least.

Alas, when Joe concocted this particular scam he wasn't aware that Egyptian hieroglyphs had been deciphered a few years previously by the French scholar Champollion.
