More Proof that Walmart is evil!

A little ambition will go farther than you think. Besides, I'd rather eat a diet of straight asbestos for a month rather than agree with a certain drunk plumber we are both acquainted with.

Well Jocko while the union deal seemed unfair to a 16 yr old bag boy, if you stuck it out for a few years you would been raking in the benefits and make enough to buy that kicking IROC Z you always wanted.

Well, fortunately I moved on and now enjoy a union-free atmosphere where I don't need to pay off anyone to get what I'm worth. And when my opinion of that price changes, I don't need to call some union steward to set the wheels turning.

As far as the IROC goes... I haven't been in Florida THAT long, Timmy.

I think Tmy is being funny again...

Anyway this is an example of voter and local government stupidity. What did they win? Not a damn thing, just wasted time and money. I also find the idea of government keeping business out to be rather disturbing.

They won what they voted for. The people had a say and spoke.

I find this hard to believe. As far as I know, WalMart has never made a secret of the fact that it will not hire unionized workers, and this has been policy from day 1. If it were illegal, it would have been corrected long ago.

The fact that it is still happening today suggests to me that it isn't illegal. It's not really worker friendly, but illegal?

As shown, you called me out, and you are wrong.

Well, given that WalMart has never been charged with a violation, then it still seems to me that there is no basis to claim they are doing anything illegal.

Given all the fanatical opposition to WalMart that has been brought forth all over, it would be absolutely amazing that no one has actually prosecuted WalMart for doing this, if they had actually done something illegal.

Your accusations ring extremely hollow.
So, now you're at it again. And guess what? You're wrong again:

This was the first hit I got. I suggest you do a little research before you accuse me of lying again.

Yes, but that's beside the point.

The reason there are almost no Wal-Marts in Los Angeles (I think there are a few just outside the county) is because Grocery store and other similar business unions lobby the local government from letting them set up a store. Honestly, who wants to give up $15/h+benefits for bagging groceries?
