Gun Control is an issue where both sides are perfectly happy to Lie like crazy if they think it will advance their cause.

Or happy to pick and choose only data that supports one's conclusion. There can be no middle ground in the greater debate. The NRA will not cede an inch. Congress will NOT vote the will of the constituents (that's their elected right and there can be valid reasons for why they should ignore the will of the people).
