• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.
Kit, sorry to butt in here (Bigfoot threads nt being my usual hangout), but every time you say "Little mak" (several times in this thread), it comes across (to me) as a patronizing ad hom, and only serves to undermine any logical point you are trying to make.

This thread may shed some light. Makaya325 was banned about a year ago.

I'll check it out later, thanks! But offhand, I can't imagine any behavior - by either party - that would make me view it (what I commented on) any differently.
While your motives may have been pure, by some standards this would be considered **** stirring. At least in part because the original post by Kit is almost two years old and the 'member' to which it was directed has long since been banned (curiously, due to his inability to play well with others - perhaps all the condescending name calling had an effect? nah). Not to mention the BF threads aren't even your usual hangout (by your own admission). Additionally, I'd consider things like "I'll check it out later, thanks! But..." to be the epitome of 'patronizing' (especially when it was offered 'sincerely' as a POI).

And yes I'm sure I've somehow committed a JREF Party Foul™ by <gasp> critically rebutting RSL.

I think "Lil Mak" was a monniker given to the sock puppet that he used most frequently on the Bigfoot threads. RSL should understand that he has had several sockpuppets, and we developed a nickname for this particular sock. Parcher would know the history of that, it is not condescending to the argument, but more of a way to keep his different names in order.

The Zombie Autopsies

This week on MonsterTalk, we interview Harvard medical doctor Steven Schlozman, author of The Zombie Autopsies and get inside the walking dead to discuss a plausible mechanism for the zombie apocalypse. It took a lot of guts, but in this episode we discuss:

* How did a doctor become interested in zombies?
* What can zombies teach us about neurology?
* Which is scarier:infection or cannibalism?
* Why don’t zombies have sex?
* What’s the best way to slice a brain?
* What do brains taste like?

Plus much, much more!

MonsterTalk #036 - Searching For Sasquatch

Is cryptozoology science or pseudoscience? Do scientists ever really study cryptozoology, or merely ignore the field entirely? This week we dig into the history of Cryptozoology itself—focusing on the search for America’s most famous cryptid: Sasquatch. This week on MonsterTalk, we’re joined by Dr. Brian Regal to talk about his latest book, Searching For Sasquatch: Crackpots, Eggheads and Cryptozoology.

Hey - for future episodes I will only be posting these show notes at the Facebook page. I do most of this work by myself and it is too time-consuming to try and keep up with multiple sites... So please join us at Facebook and hopefully you'll meet some other listeners!

The new Cadborosaurus material will premiere Tuesday, July 19, at 10 p.m. on Discovery Channel.

You can see some very short shots here cryptomundo.com/bigfoot-report/15-caddy-17/

Any opinion to that?

I didn't see anything even remotely deserving of any hype in the cryptid world...let alone the hype this show was given...

Strange...

The Hillstrands were funny, and that was about it...

Oh, you saw the video? Where? was it on TV or online? Those links don't have any videos.

The show was on last night. It was quite entertaining, and they did show some of the video, but it was nothing like the descriptions given earlier. It just looked like wave action to me. I didn't see 15 of anything or anything that would make me think it was unusual.

The large white creature was unrelated to the video as far as I can see. They chased and possibly hooked a large white creature in a lake, but the line broke. It was probably a sturgeon.

The Hillstrands were fun to watch, as usual.

They should be hunting bigfoot...
