Money bags

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens
once every 823 years. This is called money bags. So, forward this to
your friends and money will arrive within 4 days. Based on Chinese
Feng Shui. The one who does not forward.....will be without money.

Kinda interesting - read on!!!

This year we're going to experience four unusual dates.

1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all...

Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born - now add
the age you will be this year,

The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world. This is the year of
the Money!!!

The proverb goes that if you send this to eight good friends money will
appear in next four days as it is explained in Chinese FENGSHUI.

Those who don't continue the chain won't receive.......

Its a mystery, but its worth a try. Good luck.

Amazing how greed causes folks to set aside intelligence. I particularly like how Feng Shui, established long before any technology existed, calls for us to forward to eight people in order to gain the benefit. That requirement must have frustrated the hell out of Feng Shui believers prior to the internet!

Ugh - one of the evils of facebook. I gave up long ago pointing people to their calendars or asking if they've tried the "111" trick with their kids born after 1/1/2000 (and what number they get for any of them),

"Once in 832 years" is BS. 2011's calendar is a repeat of 2005

I see at least one of these things every year. Anytime you read that something related to the days of the weak on which certain dates fall only happens once in several hundred or several thousand years, what you need to keep in mind is that there are only 14 possible calendars: One each for 365 day years starting on each day of the week, and one each for leap years starting on each day of the week. The interval at which they repeat is fairly complex because leap years occur every four years, and not for years divisible by 100 but not 400, but the calendar for any particular year usually repeats one that occurred just a few years ago, and will usually repeat within a few years.

which reminds me... I got an old 1986 Beano calendar.... was trying to figure when I could reuse it!
Wondering when the days of the months coincide again.. I wanna use it again!

:D

Nice link. :)
Back in days of yore, the Yellow Pages phone book had a chart with repeating calendars. I still get the White and Yellow pages (in the US), but don't use them. So I don't know if the page(s) is/are still there.

My Daughter was born in 2000 and this year turns 11......

Huh, I thought it would be closer to an average of every 7 years, but the pattern is mostly 11 years, 11 years, 6 years?

That seems to be how all the non-leap years look.

Yes, as long as there is a leap year every four years, which has been true since 1900 (which was not a leap year). Given a leap year every four years, leap year calendars repeat every 28 years. So 2012 will have the same calendar as 1984. However, all months but February repeat according to a 6, 5, 6, 11 pattern. For example, July 2005 repeated this year (2011), will repeat again in 2016, again in 2022, and again in 2033. So, excepting February, months repeat on average every seven years, but not seven years exactly, given a leap year every four years.

:mgduh Wow. Assuming, as madurobob points out, you were born in the twentieth century (also wouldn't work for any supercentenarians born before 1900), we have:

X = yrs after 1900 you were born
(& since 2011 is 111 yrs after 1900)
age = 111-X

X + age = X + 111-X = 111

= FENGSHUI :moneybag::moneybag::moneybag: Moneybags!!! {ya, f'sho, pass it on...} :talk011:

That's perfectly true. For the peddlers of that kind of nonsense.

Without the money he would have made had he managed to sell that bag of horse manure to credophiles ...

When has a lack of modern technology been an obstacle to defrauding the public by false pretenses ?

So, Tojohndillonesq, you decided to post this here. It won't be 8 friends who receive your notice, but hundreds of JREFers. Good move. ;)
