Mohammed Al-Fayed and the Diana Conspiracy

I haven't followed this closely, but if he thought everyone including the royal family, Tony Blair, MI6 and Diana's sister were involved, why press for a British inquiry. Why not a French inquiry - it happened in their jurisdiction.

I believe that the French already investigated and reached the same conclusion: it was an accident.

There was an except this morning on BBC Radio 5 where one of their journos tried to question Al Fayed outside the hearing afterwards. He basically asked him if he was telling lies about the pregnancy claim given all the other evidence says she wasn't. Al Fayed then accused the BBC of also being part of it and accused the journalist asking the question of being an employee of MI6.

And bearing in mind hes managed to rustle up (whilst under oath) a list of suspects with zero evidence thats longer than probably every troofer suspect list for 9/11 put together then one wonders if any of the accused have grounds to sue or he runs a risk of getting done for perjury.

French Intelligencde Agencies are also involved according to Mr Fayed.

So, if he thinks almost everyone is part of the conspiracy how could another enquiry uncover the truth? I wonder what advice he is getting, and whether he just dismisses anyone who says "This isn't a good idea"? It can't be helping him come to terms with his son's death.

I will not rest until I die. If I lose everything to find the truth,"

Echoes of.... Nahhh, he doesn't, does he? Nobody give the guy a loose change dvd...

"I have no assumptions. I am not a mad person, right, as you are trying to portray me, please."

Dare I stundie Mo Al-Fayed?? Would it be right? Would he sue? That last question was serious - given his litigious nature and bags of money, I wouldn't want to get these forums in any kind of trouble. This sounds like a job for the Legaltainment Team.

I still don't understand why the Brits called another inquest as it is patently obvious that Al-Fayed will not accept the findings unless the Royal Family are charged with murder. I fully agree with you Soma - he has studied Twoother 101.

The whole circus is basically an enforced pay-per-view reality show/soap opera.

At least I cared who shot Mr Burns...

The reason for the inquest is that this is a much delayed inquest under the usual due processes. It should have been held over 10 years ago.

This is a perfect example of how a new 911 investigation would be a waste of time and would achieve nothing. It would uncover no inside job and the truthers would just say it was corrupt and ask for another.

and round again we go...........

The media really have loved reporting on this inquest - it is not very often they can get away with saying that Prince Philip is a Nazi!

im not at all surprised how long this thing is taking to go on, i expect it to be going through the courts for years...

You should see the memorial to Diana and Dodi in the basement in Harrods, the only thing more shocking is the cost of the hot chocolate in the chocolate bar two floors up.

I know, very casually Dodi's press secretary, she was a Royal correspondent for one of the 24hr news stations in the UK.

Seeing her walk out of court with Dodi brings back that Simpson's quote;

"How do you sleep at night"

"On a vast pile of money"

And in this case there is only one nutbag. Imagine how many 911 nutbags would want their say.

I presume he has immunity to slander whilst testifying. Would be amusing on one level if someone he's accussed later testifies and 'implicates' him with a similar complete absence of evidence.

The sad thing is I actually felt a bit sorry for him at the time of the incident because all the media coverage was 90%-95% about Diana and not much about the loss of his son. Now you just want to shake the man and say 'get a grip man!'

What I found ammusing was when one of the reporters asked him about the pilers of evidence that Dodi and Diana weren't going to be married and how it was impossible for her to have been pregnant. He turn on the poor guy and called him an idiot and part of the establishment. It's surprising he hasn't added him to the list of "people that did it." I couldn't help thinking... "Where have I seen that sort of behaviour before?"

Or the driver, Henri Paul.
