I actually saw this Turi clown on a TV show... something on Discovery channel if I remember correctly. The premise of the show was something about human beings with "superhuman" abilities. This particular episode concerned lie detection. They pitted different (supposed) methods of lie detection against each other... a cop that had lots of interrogation experience, a standard polygraph, some sort of eye movement detection device, a regular old mom(mom always knows when you're lying), and "Dr." Turi was using some kind of astrology lie detection nonsense.
The results were about what you'd expect, they all did about as well as chance would dictate... except for Turi, who was comically inaccurate. The only thing worse than his "method" was his bad toupee... he may as well of had a chin strap on that pelt. It looked like wombat had expired on his head.
btw... "Dr." Turi's doctorate is in metaphysics and was granted to him by an online diploma mill.
I'm familiar with his newsgroup rantings... he's more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
